Taylor Lake Ta6 backcountry campsite is located on the Taylor exit on the Trans-Canada highway between Banff and Lake Louise, past Castle Junction. The Taylor Lake hike in Banff National Park is a hike that’s more often chosen for the destination rather than the journey. It is recommended to use hiking poles and pack additional clothing as temperatures drop near the lake. The distance is almost 7 km, or just over 4 miles with elevation gain of 600 meters or almost 2000 feet.
