@Brandon Loves The Movies and even if he wasn’t aging well, still nothing to worry about. He’s just a single person minding his business in this giant world.
First he's too thin. Then he's too young. Then he's too fat. Then he's too old.....let's be real. You have to have a very solid stable state of mind if you're gonna be in Hollywood and hope to make it out sane
They sign up for it. They want to hire people who have a specific look to fit the character so this happens. It doesn’t make sense to blame the industry, because if they higher a fat person to play Batman we would be pissed.
@@kina8575 in Hollywood it’s necessary because you are looking for someone to fit a character in your mind not any person would work. Body image is also important but we have to be realistic.
With the way people criticize these celebrities & just expect surgeries & modifications to fix everything with no apparent bad effects afterwards, I think they literally do believe that someone can look young forever.😒
Yes also this world is so superficial. A human body is so much more than a visual stimulus. It’s there to keep us alive, not to be perfect eye candy for everyone else. People need to stop feeling entitled to demand eye candy from others, bodies
He isn't 6'6 Chaddeus Vladimir Thunderschlong III. He was good enough 10 years ago but womens expectations have changed. He isnt that 6,6,6 devil Chad.
@@loganblackwood2922I’m sure he has 6 figures, he probably has 6 inches too, unfortunately he doesn’t meet the most important one out of the 666…that being 6ft or taller. Rip.
He was never “too” anything, people are just screwed up. I didn’t even like Twilight, but feel bad for him. It’s a teen movie, or supposed to be. Teens don’t need to look older or have sex appeal, they don’t need movies telling them to be that way either. They’re kids!
His career started and ended with the twilight series. Gaining significant muscle as a 17-18 years old as a way to propel his career and bolster his image, is hardly the implication "being sexualized as a child following him throughout his entire career". The VERY few other B-movies he did as a small, prepubescent child, were not films he was sexualized in...
NO ONE should have to "defend their body." Imagine if, at 30, WE were asked to explain why we don't have the same body we did at 17. Just pure ignorance. I think he still looks great - and young!
What are you talking about? He marketed his appearance to the public, WANTING the public to sexualize his body for notoriety and success. (It's not like his terrible acting or grating voice lended itself to a thriving film career) So just a few short years later when the public still sees him in terms of physical appearance, the VERY thing that he branded his public image on, I don't see why we would blame the public...
@L D You're assuming an awful lot of things. Also he looks fine. In fact better than the average Joe at that age. Not sure what specifically jibes people the wrong way.
The media is what sexualized him. All he wanted was a stable acting career. He’s said this in a few interviews he was in. Sometimes you have to put in the extra effort to get the role and thus money and work.
have you seen recent pictures? Sure, he's not ugly...but to be praised as though he's remotely close to a sex icon these days is absurd. He as average as could be. Looks like he was selected at random off the street. You cant blame people for judging either...He was a terrible actor with a grating voice, that strategically branded himself SOLELY on the sexualization of his image. He made more appearances to the public without a shirt on than visa versa. How then can you blame the public for talking about his appearance just a few years later? Get over yourselves. This just isn't the hill to die on...
is that something new🤷♀️ especially if it were a female actress the comment section would be filled of men coming with the „it’s in our nature to like young „women“ type of comments..☠️ Internet is a nasty place & people don’t care about age .. full of predators
Absolutely not! Just because we can admit he 'looked' better in twilight does not mean we are attracted to a 16yr old teenager. There are many young actors/models under 18yrs of age who are beautiful/good looking. Saying we feel 'they' look good/nice/beautiful is not a reflection of what turns a person on. Its just confirming that person is attractive. Look at Brooke Shields when she was modeling, or Bella Hadid, etc etc etc...
I remember when twilight movies were still coming out and how cruel everyone was towards him then. And it never stopped. And they still are today. I wouldn’t blame him if he retired for good and went off somewhere and just lived a quiet, simple life
As a man I can only applaud him. There is nothing wrong with his looks, he has aged fine, he is also in shape again. Furthermore he is worth 40 million plus, he is doing better than 99.9% of men his age. Also 90% of child actors or teenage heart-throbs don't do much after their teenage success. Robert's career was also almost done for until Batman.
Taylor Lautner seems like such a kind person and it’s horrible how people online treat him. He’s also very handsome no matter what so I really don’t get the hate.
He literally looks 31??? people on the internet are insane, he’s always been gorgeous and seems really happy in recent years despite his career struggles
Taylor was impressive as shark boy, looks amazing when he’s ripped, when he’s thick, and looks great now. I agree with most of y’all, he should not have to defend his looks. And there’s no reason, he’s always gorgeous.
I’ve never seen any celebrity be defended like this. Nobody is saying this is okay for men. This happens to women all the time. When Taylor Swift gained a bit of weight she got completely torn apart even though she was still healthy. Have you seen what they’re doing to Selena Gomez right now?
Bruh! Ain't nobody got time to be super ripped forever, that's super hard to maintain forever and takes so much work. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't in the best shape anymore. I bet all these people criticizing Jacob aren't even ripped and buff themselves.
Michael Copón would’ve gone from being a blue Power Ranger to being a werewolf if he had replaced Taylor. Strangely enough, Taylor was trained in martial by the guy who played a blue Ranger right before Michael Copón
It’s kind of messed up that they wanted to replace him with someone who has no native ancestry. Taylor is technically white (his parents are white), but it’s obviously he has native ancestry. I have native ancestry as well actually, but I’m pale (due to my father being a redhead) and the fact my grandfather is white passing with blue eyes. But I do think people don’t understand that just because your more white than native, doesn’t mean you aren’t at all from your mixed heritage, because any mixed race person can look differently from how they are mixed. But I’m not Native American, because that’s a culture and I’m not a part of it (which I assume many mixed raced native Americans aren’t, due to history). But to replace him with that actor, who if I recall is Filipino and white, that’d be messed up, because he’s not at all native. It’s like if a Mexican actor played a mixed race black person for example, they could look black, but if there isn’t any association to that race, that’s messed up.
I really hate when people try and decide what other people should look it always really pisses me off. If he’s happy the way he is then let him stay the way he is why does it matter whether he’s the you want him to be
I think it’s because of the fact he was considered physically perfect in the twilight movies so once anything starts fading people consider it letting yourself go. The guy obviously looks great
Yo when I was 10 years old I was IN LOVE with Taylor Lautner that other guy looks goofy as hell! I’m so glad they kept Taylor. I had a lunch box with him on it and everything. I still have that lunchbox actually 😂
In the end your body will age and you’re face will not be young anymore but your character will be what people remember you for.Taylor is a kind and caring person which means so much more than his body.
He’s still freaking handsome! I was wish I looked that good with a few pounds! He’s also one of the most mature ex-bfs of Taylor Swift so I respect him so much! 👏
He does not look too bad. Anyway, he should be financially independent from those movies. Basically he shouldn't have to work anymore. He also did some TV work. He had a few main roles in some series on TV. That improved his financial situation even more. He's fine.
Looks too old.. people have unrealistic perception of age nowadays. I've seen similar comments made of other people who look great; that or most of these comments are coming from 15 year olds
Taylor looks sooo attractive! Some people are so delusional to think that he looks older. Hate to break it to some of you, but your favorite child stars grow up, just like the rest of us!
The problem is that people nowadays use injections, Botox, surgery etc to stay looking younger… that they forgot what a REAL 31 year old man looks like.
If we put body standards for women, then we’re sexist. But if we put them for men, it’s totally justified. It’s gotten so out of hand, that Hugh Jackman’s body in the first X-Men movie is considered a dad bod by women.
Its crazy how he was pressured into gaining that much muscle in just an year, 30lbs an year is not naturally achievable and going enhanced that young can lead to SERIOUS health issues later on in life.
He should have joined another big franchise, like Hunger Games or the Maze Runner, instead of doing movies like Abduction. I watched the latter in the cinema and I was so shocked at how bad it was. 😅
Hollywood: "Oh no, the 16 year old high-schooler we hired to play a 16 year old high-schooler is too young to play a 16 year old high-schooler. Let's replace him with a 25 year old."
Yeah that's really sad, Most people have a hard time adjusting to their looks fading as you age so imagine the internet saying you look worse... Yet we wonder why depression is sky rocketing
I still see Taylor as Shark Boy and so each time I see him I’m like “It’s Shark Boy!😄” because I would watch Shark Boy and Lava Girl a LOT when I was younger
