this song is so nostalgic to me. i feel that represents every person who has been in a toxic relationship and is not confident about themself anymore, and that's why she is so surprised about meeting someone who is different and actually treats her right.

RED era, that's it, that's her iconic red lips. That's the vintage images. That's the daydream feeling in every lyrics and every singing line. And that's the time i know i've fell in love with her

This song will truly never go out of style. She is literally a mastermind. The story, the allure, the chords, the uncertainty, the simplicity and aesthetic. It's brilliant.

It’s crazy how pure country this song is. I never realised it when I was younger. This is probably the first country music video filmed in Paris. The hints of retro 1950s inspiration is also super unique. Her ability to break the mould of what country music is was unprecedented. I wonder if she’ll ever return to the genre.

I love the fact she keeps saying "I do" like in weddings. It's like even though she's been treated badly, she's still hopeful for love, still believes in it

I used to dislike her for no reason whatsoever. I started actually listening to her music (especially the ones that don't play on the radio 24/7) and watching her interviews and I discovered what a decent, quirky and kind person she really is. I think her reputation for being "whiny" about breakups in her songs is because those types of songs really resonate with her target audience.. This means those are the songs that become popular and played over and over on a daily basis. She covers many other things in a lot of her songs if you give her a chance and a listen.

This song is really hits different after i broke up with my toxic ex. The reason why i broke up with him is, he never appreciate me for who i am. He always compared me to other people aka his first love, he said i can't cook well than his ex, can't do make up well than his ex, and bla-bla-bla. So i just end our relationship after 4 years trying to be happy with him. And, i actually met someone in bakery(i went there to bought some mouse cake), and he complimented me, said my dress is pretty(even he doesn't saw my face because i was wear mask), and he asked me about the delicious cake in the bakery, and i told him my favorite, we actually share a few words, and we make a promise to meet again in the weekend. Can't wait to meet him❤

Yes she sings about her exes a lot but it makes a lot of people feel better when they're going through hard times. She is using her talent to make people feel better and share her story and gets hated while rappers like nicki and iggy are just twerking. Please explain the logic behind her hate someone.
