I remember hearing this song in 2017 and thinking, "she seems so upset. What could've possibly happened?" At the time, I didn't realise how bad she was cancelled, but I think that just shows how good Taylor is at communicating her feelings through art and sound and poetry, to this day the sound of this song reminds me of that dark time and how clearly upset she was.

You move hundreds of miles away from that place. Then, when the audience is gone and you’ve found people who are truly in your corner, you start to realize that you wish for nothing but privacy, private friends, a private love, and a private life. That’s why this song slowly became my favorite from Rep.
