58 year old Swiftie in 2024 studying psychotherapy.. Her real talent is allowing us to find our meaning in the artwork that she gives us. That is a true artist. We take from it what we need to hear in ourselves. In that way it is so much like therapy which is why she can connect to and be so relevant to such a huge audience. For me the significance in this MV is putting on the cardigan at the end, finding your inners self to nurture and love the broken parts( lost, cold, old and damaged) of ourselves and not give that part away to others. Beautiful!
I’m an old dude who grew up in Muswell Hill, London N10, listening to the Kinks, Fairport Convention and Rod Stewart, and I know talent when I hear it. Taylor is sheer class and has true quality.
@@mariellaaa217 it’s a great song, but she goes off on tangents towards the end to keep it interesting, but I like it simpler like the beginning. It flows better.
Taylor Swift: not a lot going on at the moment Also her: casually drops a whole freakin' album and a music video (edit: wow i've never gotten likes this much lol but thanks
When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you ❤️
people are finally figuring out taylor is not your normal female pop singer, she writes her own songs for one thing, also she took risks changing from country to pop now this folk version could be the best
I agree.. folk is also the best because its such a middle ground between country and pop (more country) but she makes it work by interweaving pop elements.. folk is my favourite genre of music though so I may just be biased lol
Not all the way true. She has writers and they are accredited. She's a Gift. Folk didn't create pop doe. Genres like Soul,RnB, Rock, and Disco created what we know as Pop.
@@shotbypradi4692 you talking about? she wrote an album all by herself when she was 19 years old called Speak Now, the only credit other than her for songwriting in this album is for aaron and jack as the producers and her boyfriend. and folk is the most basic pop music people had back then. theyre these songs for common people like pop is now.
I'm not exactly a fan of Taylor Swift but I can certainly appreciate what she does as an artist and as a human being Some of her songs are incredibly meaningful and come from an artists perspective trying to convey her experience and the world around her to other people Genuinely impressed by the work she does and her commitment Really surprised how people have not mentioned the set design..... the waterfall on the piano is incredible! 🙂
*this is literally my comfort song. Something about it is just so calming and when I was crying myself to sleep I would put this song on repeat and it would calm me down and I would fall asleep. Thank you Taylor*
Leaving like a father = a stereotype that the one who usually 'cheat' or "running away" is the man/father Running like water = they (man) leave as fast as water running: very quickly
@@anisanurraudah8383 oh thanks for explaining! I've thought leaving like a father could mean something like leaving nonchalantly or anything along the line but wasn't so sure bout that.
I hate doing this spammy “pay attention to me” sort of thing but Im an indie artist, go by the name Huddie, and I’m trying to get my music heard. Its mostly dark pop with electronic sounds and a primary focus on lyrics. Just check it out if you’re looking for something new. If it’s not your shit, sorry bout it, but if you’re feeling it, hit subscribe and definitely leave me some feedback. Thanks.
Wahhhh Lavendaire!!!! Aileen I am your subscriber. You are such an inspiration. I'm a fan of yours! I don't know why I am excited seeing you in the comment section HAHA, Im just happy. Oww I'll just continue watching Taylor's MV hihi. I AM EXCITEDDD(me scrolling through the comment section before watching haha)
I know you guys hate self promoters but please hear me out. I'm different than other rappers, I rap about stuff that makes a difference. I recently got bullied in school and I wrote a song about that. They bullied me cause I'm indian, my accent and a lot of other stuff as well. The song is called "k grip hope" on youtube. I think you guys should listen to it so you know what it was like for me. Guys please dont be mean. I know that this fanbase is better than the others. Thanks for listening to me, please be kind to others whether you listen or not. 🙂
Why is no one commenting on the fact that she LOOKS SO HEALTHY AND HAPPY - maybe the less pressure from being out of the public eye for the last 6 months
I love the connection in this music video and willow. The going through the places and ending up at the same spot, and each time being able to find what they were looking for right there, not to mention it’s the same place that she starts and finishes
us: *just waiting for Taylor Swift to post ONE selfie or a simple "hi"* Taylor Swift: HERE'S AN ALBUM W/ 16+1 SONGS FOR YA'LL . . . AND OH THERE'S MV, TOO!
Taylor Swift: New Girl Album Fearless: Happy Girl Album Speak Now: Brave Girl Album Red: Confident but Fragile Girl Album 1989: Cool Girl Album Reputation: Bad Girl Album Lover: Loving Girl Album Folklore: Sad and Calm Girl Album

The broken key at the start is for the 'B' note - as in Betty, the character who this song is about. She's broken in the beginning, but by the end is whole again. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to notice just pointing it out in case someone else missed it as well :)
@justmejenny7986 She was dating Joe when she wrote this and she has said herself that she created an imaginary love triangle with August,Betty and cardigan
I love how she connects her own life story to a piece of clothing. I could never. Incredible. Edit: This song music video is so similar to willow, I’m fr obsessed. Like- OH MAH GAWDDDD LOVE U TAYLOR
Taylor Swift just saved 2020, with a masterfully crafted album. Edit: Oh wow this has many likes! usually, when I get this many I like to promo my music, but not today, cause Breonna Taylor's case is still one of many which haven't found justice, so support BLM.
It's been so many years and I can't believe I'm still listening to this epic song.😢 I love this so much it helps me right now to get through life. Thank you queen Taylor we love you.
The fact that Taylor Swift really just surprised us with an entire album is literally the best part of 2020. I'm so in love with the album, it's so soothing and authentic; it's like a storybook. I honestly can't even count how many times I've listened to it. As for "Cardigan" the song itself is so beautiful and enchanting from the lyrics to the set to how gorgeous, happy, and healthy Taylor Swift looks. I've been a Swiftie since the beginning and Taylor has never disappointed us. I love her music so much and we've covered so many of her songs such as "Me" "Lover" "You Need To Calm Down" and so many more on my channel, hope you will watch them. With everything going on in the world, Taylor's album gives me hope. I'm curious Swifties, what's your favorite song from Folklore?
It’ll probably just be easier for us to list the songs we didn’t like, because every day my favorite song changes. I’ll start....the song I dislike the most is: .............?.............I got nothin’
tenorbuds My favorite is invisible string. I am obsessed with this entire album, but invisible string brings me to an entirely new dimension-a soothing one. I can do mundane things and swiftly (no pun intended 😉😂) move throughout my day while listening to folklore.
Do not use emojis, it freezes views, also do not pause, or skip any part. And do not skip ads. Play volume more than 50%. Search the video manually. Stream other Taylor Swift’s songs in between cardigan
Everyone in 2020: This is the worst year Taylor: hold my wine while I release my album🍷 edit: OMG I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS MANY LIKES. THANK YOU Y'ALL!!
I just realized that James says, "I'm only 17 I don't know anything" and Betty says, "when you are young they assume you know nothing" and, "I knew everything when I was young" She was dissing James lol
this song just hits different. “You drew stars around my scars, but now I’m bleedin’” and “a friend to all, is a friend to none”. Nobody can convince me that she’s NOT a lyrical genius. live laugh love Taylor 🫶🏼
It’s been so amazing, First Lady Gaga dropped us an Album, now Katy Perry announced hers. And now we gets a new Swift album out of nowhere. I now have mixed reviews about 2020 😂
She tried, she hurt, she changed, hurt again. Then she finally found a way back, wearing that sweater represents the love from Joe, feeling warm, kind, and stable.
I'm glad that Taylor owns her music but not gonna lie, a little sad that we won't get folklore taylors version since she has no need to rerecord it. Folklore got me through some ****, it deserves to be back in the spotlight like her older albums lol
this woman literally doesn’t stop. When I realized she was quiet for a long time without posting anything, I knew she was doing something suspicious ... oh shit how I love her
Guys I'm 15 and tryna make music to support my family. I can't get a studio or a PC to make music, so i have to use my phone. Search up "k grip" if you wanna listen to it. Sorry if I was being annoying, thanks a lot for understanding why I'm promoting like this :)
