I honestly swear on my life that "dia duit" means hello! Literally "God be with you." When someone says dia duit to you you reply "dia is muire duit"- God and Mary be with you. It's like, I'll see your God and I'll raise you a Hail Mary. It's "dee-ah gwich" though, she almost pronounced it right! As for conas atá tú, it legit is how are you! Taylor's got a dirty mind haha
I thought it sounded dirty too! But I felt like the interviewer was genuinely being sweet. I am really curious if anything was said later about it. I can understand Taylor's apprehension to saying things she doest understand, it would be super embarrassing had she said something dirty. I'm sure if the interviewer had pulled an underhanded trick like that it would have cost her the job. I think Taylor in particular has alot of clout, everything she touches turns to gold. Getting an interview with Taylor has to be a very coveted guest in the radio world. Anyway, it's an interesting dynamic.

people would have taken this easy but there were some fans who took fruit joke too far and made stupid conspiracy theories and canceled taylor's relationships just to back up their story and taylor showed such an unwelcome reaction to their behavior on tumblr so that's why people are so pissed off about the joke these days
