I'm glad she actually still would sing old songs rather than be ashamed of them and completely ignore their existence as some singers probably would do
In an intimate setting, just Taylor, an instrument, and the song, is where this star shines brightest, you can see the emotion in her eyes, her movements, you can feel it in her vocals, and in our souls, which is exactly why Music and the Arts, even exist, and.... I believe the only reason "haters" have to come online and "poofling", is... anything is better than the lonely, useless existence, that their personalities have rewarded them with.
In my opinion, I think that she should do more performances while she's sitting down with her guitar. Because if she does dancing, she will go out of breath and the singing will sound shaky. And people will think that she cannot sing which is totally not true. Some songs suits dancing though. Like if she sits down and sings an acoustic version of Shake it off, it'll sound weird. But the special part of her is that she writes her own songs. Other artists buy songs or are given songs. I'll love Taylor no matter what
*Fun fact:* She wrote it at the age of 16 and some of you still discredit her by saying that this woman isn’t extraordinarily talented when it comes to songwriting just by cherry picking her singles like WANEGBT and Shake It Off? 😪
I'm sorry but this woman is a good vocalist.... like yes she's an incredible writer and creator but she is a really good vocalist too! this assures me of that
she has never claimed to be a vocalist, none of her fans follow her for being a vocalist. she is a songwriter who sings her own songs, she has literally said that if she wasn't a writer she wouldn't be a singer. But she has improved A LOT in the last 5 years or so, this performance was during the RED tour, so a good 7 years ago. Honestly, she has a good range and a lovely tone, it's actually impressive how good she sounds considering she has almost zero vocal training
It's my favorite too. To be honest I almost didn't record this because we didn't know what song it'd be and I thought it'd be better to just watch than try and record but I thought what the heck and did again. Then she started singing and I started freaking out when I recognized the song so that's why it's a little shaky and everything. I'm so glad I did record it because I haven't seen any other videos of it and we can all watch over and over :D
@@lakhshanavijayarahavan @wonderwomanwannabe5013 @bontigogoi160 @cc1526 Hi it's been 9 years since I've made that comment, but it's me hi 🙂 - given that Taylor has now MANY MANY more songs out into the world Cold As You has been replaced by others (betty, all too well, the lakes , cruel summer ect) but Cold as You will always be special to me. Anyways I just wanted to let you all know that sorry I'm late!! PS I will be going to the ERAS tour this weekend so I'll be able to enjoy all my favorite songs at once 💛
For y’all who want the lyrics You have a way of coming easily to me And when you take, you take the very best of me So I start a fight 'cause I need to feel somethin' And you do what you want 'cause I'm not what you wanted Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day Just walk away Ain't no use defending words that you will never say And now that I'm sittin' here thinkin' it through I've never been anywhere cold as you You put up the walls and paint them all a shade of gray And I stood there loving you, and wished them all away And you come away with a great little story Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day Just walk away Ain't no use defending words that you will never say And now that I'm sittin' here thinkin' it through I've never been anywhere cold as you You never did give a damn thing, honey But I cried, cried for you And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died, died for you Died for you Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day Oh, every smile you fake is so condescending Countin' all the scars you've made Now that I'm sittin' here thinkin' it through I've never been anywhere cold as you

One of my absolute favorite songs by Taylor... She's improved vocally since the original was released, but I'm glad she still sings it just as country.
Taylor Swift is a genius. The way she writes the lyrics to all of her songs are just flawlessly stunning. The flow and partnering of all of her words are perfect. A literary genius.
I’m surprised that she remembers a song she never sang live. Actually I’m not cause she is a masterpiece and all her songs have a place in her heart and brain 😍
Also at a certain moment I had a full picture in my mind of her singing "every smile you fake is so condescending" staring right at me and I screaming the words back and omg it was glorious
I know this is a 7 year old video, but I really hope that when Taylor records her album catalog again, she finally makes this a single (really long shot, I know.) This has always been my favorite song. The lyrics, the emotions behind the words, and the time of my life when I first heard this song, make it special to me.
This song is great anyways, but with it being acoustic and her matured voice it makes it even more heart wrenching and emotional. Absolutely beautiful 💕
out of all the many songs she had composed, this song is my favorite. For me, this song guves so muchh emotion . I love you taylor no matter what your bashers throw at you.
Guys Also Cries When They Hear This Song . Why? Because This Song Make Them Realize That They Have Taken For Granted The Sweetest Girl They Could Ever See.
I know people want to record the experience (I'm one of those people) but I just think it's a shame that they're more focused on recording than the actual concert. Definitely gonna change my ways when I see Taylor in November.
I think as Swifties we shouldn't be bringing other fans down just because they don't know this song or haven't listened to every song on every album. Taylor always speaks proudly of her fans because we are kind and embracing of all other fans, so I'm sure she wouldn't want us to label other Swifties as not 'true fans' just because they can't sing the lyrics to her older songs. Anyone who has been touched by her songs or can identify them or wants to be a fan should be allowed to and we should embrace them into our family, just as Taylor has embraced us
You don't have to know ALL of Taylor's songs to be a swiftie or a fan of her, in fact you can even like 3-5 songs and still be a fan. For me, I only listened to songs from fearless and beyond (yes all) but no songs from her first album. This is because I didnt and don't like the complete country girl feel and I'm not Into it, I've tried to listen to those songs but without success. However, cold as you, I've only listened to this live version and I must say it's way more emotional as it's acoustic and Taylor's voice has matured.
I repeat all of her songs from Fearless-Present. I only play maybe 1/2 of the songs from Taylor Swift, but I do like the album, especially songs like Our Song and Tim McGraw.
jackytwilightfan un sorry but Yes, being a fan is about liking an artist's music, not their personality, being part of a fandom, is the other way around.
This is just perfect. Since 2006 (my freshman year in high school) this has been my favorite song she has ever recorded. All my friends hate it because I still to this day play it on repeat all the time, and she FINALLY sang it live. I just cried. It was worth the wait. So perfect. Love you Taylor :)
I still cannot believe she played this. After 7 years of hoping one day she would, I just cannot stand it!! :) (Of course I'm slightly bitter she played it a week before my concert but its so perfect I'll let it slide)
