Everyone thought they were going to make it. Whenever they were happy together, it was the best feeling in the world for me. It was heartbreaking to witness the fall out, the slow decay. To see them fall out of love with each other. Now, I'm just trying my best to pick up the pieces so I can go live my own life, on my terms. So I don't have to suffer the consequences of other people's choices, so I can have actual control over the circumstances around me. So I don't have to experience that pain ever again.

Exile hits different when it's about slowly loosing a friendship with someone you trusted your life and more and suddenly everything changed and now they seemed mad, you ask them why and they don't tell you, they say everything's fine when it's not, you used to share everything and now you barely know how was their week, worst thing is you feel like you've done something wrong, something bad, like you're the problem when you're not case you tried everything to make things go back as they were but it feels like things will never be the same again. Hits whole different when this is happening again in your short 18 years of existence :(
