Her performance of the song "I did something bad" off the Reputation album was performed live at the 2018 AMA awards and she was absolutely AMAZING! She opened the awards ceremony with that song and blew everyone away. There was pyro, and an enormous snake. 😁 It's probably my favorite performance from her. Her Rep era was bad ass.
Reputation will be a good starter album especially since you’ve just watched a breakdown of all the Kanye shit! One could write essays on all the symbolism and references in this music video for Look What You Made Me Do, it is absolutely laden with references to her past music, professional conflict, celebrity/industry conflict, media narratives, legal drama, personal/romantic life etc, you could pick it apart frame by frame

@@Catherine.Dorian. No, Kanye just didn't like Taylor for the pure fact she was dominating the charts. He now has Candice Owens doing his dirty work, so far she has had 3 shows about Taylor and how bad she is and her music is bad.
Reputation was like a revenge album in that the lead single (this song) had a 20m views on youtube after 24 hours. And it sold over 1m physical copies on the first week. But she did not make the album available for streaming right away. She's bossy like that, lol. The cancel movement did not have an effect on her commercially. The haters failed miserably. In the end, she had the last laugh over the Kimye's betrayal's when karma bit them. Thanks for the reaction.
Taylor songs are so wonderful they make me cry with joy and they make me cry with sadness that's how powerful her lyrics are she has gone down has the number one artist in my book of my whole lifetime and I'm 64 now and was always a rock and roller and thought nobody would ever top Nirvana
If you’re expecting reputation to qll be like that you’ll be surprised and maybe a bit disappointed, she met her boyfriend at the time around that time where her reputation was her worst so it’s really a love album more than a clap back, it has so songs addressing the drama but most songs are love songs
So if you are looking for more tea about the Kanye-Taylor feud, Reputation will give you one more song, “This is why we can’t have nice things”. The rest of the album is a love album, it’s about meeting, beginning to date, and falling in love with her long time boyfriend of nearly 7 years, Joe (they just recently broke up this spring). It’s a love album, not a revenge album or anything like that. It’s about falling in love with Joe at the worst possible time in her life. Still, Reputation is edgy, awesome and my fave. But if you listen to it thinking you will get a lot of Kanye tea, you’ll be disappointed. It’s about falling in love with Joe, the insecurities of that, the mixed emotions that go with meeting someone new, the process over time of falling in love.
Oh I am here and seated for the rep reaction! I definitely think you can start there since you just did the in depth Kanye drama breakdown. Her albums all kind of stand on their own and we can fill you in on the backstories and ALL the tea and extreme detail she brings to her pen game (buckle up!) But for her I don’t think you necessarily need to listen to the albums in order.
the ability to believe in K.W was killed by him. I think the hardening of her view on people in the industry had to have taken a big hit as well. I think that innocence is the death of the old Taylor.
I think taylor is one of the best at "diss tracks" because she comes at them not being mean and spiteful but telling truths of the situation and how she felt about it. So nobody can really get mad at what she says because they don't come across as attacking someone else if that makes sense.

Shes driving a Maserati and that references her song Red- "loving him was like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street" Caged Taylor represents how media and haters always gives Taylor shit for not going oit of her hojse and doing rhings to advocate for anything ex. Her not going to the womans march Queen of snakes- refernces how everyone calls her a snake Taylor robbing a bank is how the media and haters believes she is money hungry and how she's robbing Spotify- notice it says streaming co. The scene with all the Barbie like girls refernces how everyone believs you have to be looking a certain way to get into Taylor squad. People criticized and scrutinised Taylor for her "fale" friends referring to them as her squad and that you have to look like a model or have a certain look to be her so called friend. Also the media was writing about how Taylor is like the queen bee and bossess her friends around, telling them what to do- thats why shes the leader of the fake models. I’ve noticed you’ve been going through Taylor’s discography. Even if you don’t do a reaction video, I’d highly recommend you don’t stop before you do folklore and, if you like that one at all, then listen to evermore. You mentioned you really enjoy Taylor’s lyricism and liked the sound of her singing just with the piano at the end of the Reputation album. Although there are many who would disagree, many of us feel that these CDs represent the height of Taylor’s lyricism in her career thus far.
