I just recently like her because of Reputation. I noticed in interviews, she looks down and sometimes holds her hands together. I think she was originally an introvert and became an ambivert. I really like her personality. She was really raised properly by her parents. She is so humble.
She still does it even til this day. Her Introverted self is probably partly because she was "bullied" in school by mean "friends" and left alone to sit on lunch tables by herself. So happy she's better now

I agree in alot of ways - just would add "introvert" is sometimes naming mannerisms that are very lady - like territory ; and without a doubt ,describes this artist . I figure she was and is adventuresome in what she was/is curious about ; in ways an introvert would shy from.

In the fan's defense, this interview was filmed right as Red was being released (either the day before it came out or sometime during release week, i can't remember), so no one knew the songs from Red too well.

I feel like everyone commenting here is concerned about the fact that the fan didn't know any answers...whereas I just can't stop thinking about the fact that Taylor has voices in her head that say "You can't do it. You're a loser." Like she is so incredible and never deserves to feel that way.
I think Katy said the best thing at the end and it's been 10 years since this interview and that Taylor Swift is a good role model for children and I say for the world. Full of love and charm❤

I know this comment is 5 years ago but im also a fan, i call myself biggest fan but im just so bad at remembering lyrics, title song and what not. You cant be really mad for something someone is not good at.
I got most of them just from the description. I think the pressure just got to her or something? I would probably be dead or having a heart attack if I was that close to Taylor EVER, let alone on TV doing a freaking competition.
This made me tear up when Katie talked to her about being a role model. She has done such a great job, but that is so much pressure to have walked around with for 12 more years now.
Katie did say one very true thing about Taylor. If you have daughters you don’t have to worry too much about her as a role model. She has always taken that responsibility very seriously.
interviews in early 2010 were so not focused on the music and the art that comes with it, especially having taylor swift as your guest : she's a mastermind at songwriting and i felt bad watching this interview because almost no questions were about that, but all about her relationships, or other stuff that might be too personal / intrusive for her to share. red was such a great album with so many different emotions facing a heartbreak and i just feel sad that they were only focusing on the men she was dating instead of the music. i'm so glad our society and the music industry evolved

This is interesting to watch so close to The Tortured Poets Department (it's like nearly a month at the time I'm writing this, March 13, 2024), specifically her writing process back then in how she reflected on her emotions during writing, and it's pretty clear that the next album will be a breakup one and even for the photoshoot there are parallels between Red, I'm so excited for TTPD and I can't wait to hear it. Honestly if I were Taylor's boyfriend and then broke up and then she writes a song about me, I'd send her an email telling her that her newest song is a masterpiece. Okay, now being serious, I love how they talked about the male fans and how they're hidden, while Taylor will probably never read this (I think no one will even read this), it's ME! Hi I'm a male swiftie and a straight one which are extremely rare in this world, I'd say we're rarer than the most rare Pokemon card, but we exist. Watching this after the entirety of 2016 (8 years after it) and so many things did actually happen, the Kimye controversy, writing for other artists and disappearing for nearly a year and while it's sad that all of this happened, life is always up and down, one day you have the best day ever and the other one is just so shitty that you want it to be over, but from those days you learn a lot and it's better to move on than just give up, let's take a look at where Taylor is now, if she decided to give up after 2016, a lot of things wouldn't have happened so, 2016 was her biggest low but we got reputation after that and many more things after that. And fun fact, on the place this interview was taken there's a Prophet synth, which was used a lot during 1989, in fact it's the bass on Blank Space.
