New years day is a WHOLE metaphor for the whole album. Cleaning up the mess after the party with her lover=finally feeling ok after the chaos and the hate bc she found what actually matters to her. ITS BEAUTIFUL 😭😭😭😭😭

Midnights should definitly go next, midnights is a different sound but very similar and I feel you will like it, and you seem to like more the mature taylor so midnights is the best thing to listen to if you want to hear more of this taylor, obviously the 3 AM edition.

I love that you catch all her adlibs and harmonies because that's a big reason I love listening to her. She is SO good at keeping you interested in every single lyric and melody and note... even if a song seems "repetitive" she brings so many layers and sometimes changes one word that flips the whole script. Taylor was so ahead of her time when she made reputation. When the album was released, critics had mixed reviews because since the production and the theme is not what they expect from Taylor but as the years went by, it became one of the best album despite being an experimental.

I know I'm commenting a lot but like I am high and can't help it. I think "This is why we can't have nice things" is the semi tame version of what she wanted to say and on Rep (TV) we are going to get a scathing song that should have been there on the album.

There is never a “thinking too deeply” with Taylor albums, they have so much depth

I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS everything’s a vibeee. Based on everything you’d probably really love Midnights lots of synth with a moody pop vibe, 1989 is Rep and Midnight’s upbeat cousin. Red is giving country pop Taylor when you’re in the mood and the Speak Now vault tracks are so so nice.

Such a great reaction, had a blast watching it! Got me back to listening to Reputation for the first time, I think we all gagged. I do think 1989 should be next to keep up with the great pop energy. I absolutely love Red, it’s in my top three, but coming from Rep, 1989 is like the brighter version of it. Light, fun, vibrant, and it’s the pop bible. Red after 1989 that would be a nice way to calm down and get back to some heartbreak and misery, while still having some bright pop moments in it.

“This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” doesn’t fit sonically, but I love the song. When you’re pissed at someone, it’s just so fun to sing. And I don’t know where else you could put it… maybe as a bonus track? A plain single like “I Don’t Want to Live Forever”? I think you gotta listen to Midnights. You want vibing? You want synths? You want storytelling and metaphors and a concept album? I feel like I can just lie down and close my eyes and check the fuck out with Midnights. The concept part of it is it’s supposed to be thoughts that keep you up at night. And the 3am/Til Dawn tracks are the ones that keep her up all night. Other notes: - I think you’ll like “Look What You Made Me Do” better if you watch the music video and the concert - I think you’ll find Red real hit or miss. It’s not sonically cohesive at all. There’s a lot of great stuff, something for everyone…but also something everyone hates lmao. My only T Swift skip is on Red, actually. - I think you’ll like 1989, but I think you’ll like Midnights more. I feel like Midnights is 1989’s big sister? I think you will love Midnights as well. Please do the Midnights Til Dawn Edition because that has the extra bonus songs on it that the regular version doesn’t. Also the song Your Losing Me is part of Midnights but was put out later as a single. It had previously only been on a special CD that was sold at a few Eras tour shows.

She started doing hints like these for us in the first album if you ever wonder if it was on purpose it probably was shes such a genius! I also vote for Midnights being next. It's long with the 3am tracks so you can do those separate or in the same video, but I think you'll have a lot of fun with it (and so will we by extension)!

So, they took Rep Tour off of Netflix. But the YT channel "Swift Leaks" has videos of each performance on their channel. The quality isn't as good, because they use clips from the Netflix film paired with clips that were shot from the audience (for copyright reasons lol). But it's still really good. I personally prefer the live version of Getaway Car over the studio version, simply for the electric guitars that are added during the live performace outro. I hope she includes the electric guitars in Taylor's Version.

You really can't think too much when it comes to TS. There's probably hundreds of hints/references nobody has even realized yet.

I love how the albums kind of float into each other with RED having the first pop influences, then going full out with 1989, then on Reputation I think Getaway Car sounds very 1989, but This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things sounds more like Lover. Sonically Midnights should be next, because Folklore and Evermore feel more like a nice long vacation in between all of that. Can't wait to see what she does with Poets.
