I do not understand the people who say "OMG she can not sing" when she has so many talents and vocally evolved a lot(sorry for my bad english i'm a french swiftie)
(Dsl je sais que c'est un peu tard pour répondre) mais on est d'accord qu'elle est vraiment sous-cotée en France, personne ne connais ses chansons a part shake it off (Sorry i know it's a little late to answer ) but isn't she so underrated here in France, no one knows her songs except for shake it off
She is not the most technical singer, her live performances also show that she is pitchy (though I'd attribute that to the fact that shows are obviously hard and it'd be difficult to sing when an audience of thousands are screaming along). Taylor is and always has been known for her lyricism and not her singing voice. I don't think that she CANNOT sing but she is simply not the most vocally gifted and that is ok. She still gets her message across and her songs are still such bops.
@@cleo6432 vraiment? je vis au canada et a mon ecole il y a comme 7 autres swifties que je sais de, et il y a surement plus dans les autres classes et annees (aussi je m'excuse pour mon francais, je ne suis pas la meilleure...
@@anonymousanon9941 Taylor stopped having major pitch issues after the 1989 era. If there are any pitch inaccuracies, they are minor so they are acceptable. Plus, unlike most artists, I don't think Taylor uses in-ears when she sings live so it is easier for her to go off-key.
I never thought was great back then, vocal-wise, but I never held it against her cuz she was sixteen, she was no doubt gonna improve with experience. And she DID. But also, what never failed was her flawless songwriting.
In 2019, with her new album Lover, Taylor has showed us she's working on her melissma, vocal runs, shifting and low notes. With her recent singles, Beautiful Ghosts and Christmas Tree Farms, she proved us she mastered versatility and she can venture more with ballad, jazz and theatrical music. She can do a pop rock album also in the future because she showed us she's capable of singing with angst and growling have been prominent in her songs. What she need to improve is her support and her technique. She's trying also to do vibrato so she can also improve that to. Happy to see her improved so much!
Vibrato naturally comes along. I think Taylor vibrato isn't strong enough to get recognized easily but her vocal ability today is proving as that she's a REAL SINGER. NO QUESTION. Btw, support is a complex thing but I think with Taylor voice alone, we don't have to look for so much technicalities.
my name is whatever you decide PotterSwift agreed. idk why people are being so technical and perfectionists in terms of support and such things. Pop singers didn't have to be treated very technical because they're music are for mainstream. Most of them are not classically grown and developed. But, Taylor and other pop stars can really sing!
Her performance of I did something bad honestly makes me tear up. It is SO incredible and impressive. Seeing it on a timeline put in perspective how far she has come. More relevant than ever before these days too! She really has a magic touch. If she wants it, it happens.
The first clips from her debut/Fearless era made me nostalgic for the baby Taylor I first fell in love with 🥺 I’ve been a Swiftie since 2008 so I basically grew up with her and have followed her career. I’m so proud of her and how far she’s come, but hearing her current voice made me forget how far she’s come since those early days 🥹
Shes always been talented, she just needed a bit of vocal training :) All really great vocalists have had to have some amount of training. Its just like learning to play an instrument. Shes had decades to learn and grow as a vocalist and now her voice is stronger than ever Edit: shes also really developed her lower register which suits her voice soooo well
My jaw absolutely dropped when I heard that her belt “Lord Save me my drug is my baby!” Holy shit that was comparable to some of the greatest vocalists like Linda Rondstadt and Cary Underwood.
I think her best moment will come now, and it will come on her next album (you should hear "beautiful ghost & christmas tree farm, released after the album" lover ") those vocals! (sorry for my bad English)
No it wasn’t lol, I honestly think she’s still hasn’t reached her vocal prime since the vocal prime reaches around someone’s 30’s plus she’s only getting better! I’m still waiting for a vibrato omg
Incredible how much more skilled her singing became. She always had a nice voice, but her skills weren't anywhere close to what they are now, when she was younger
