ET's Katie Krause breaks down the biggest moments of Taylor Swift's new documentary 'Miss Americana', now streaming on Netflix. Exclusives from #ETonline : • NEW From Entertainment...
Why do some people hate her? What's not to like? She's very good in what she do. She's very strong and she's getting stronger. She is far from over. Very far. LONG LIVE!
@gialusterio5409 There’s no reason to hate her. But there’s also no reason to label her as better than everyone else. Other singers deserve the same level of respect and recognition as Taylor because they ALL put in the work on their albums and material PERIOD!!
@moonadhomy1926 Nope! It’s unfair treatment that people can’t stand. When other celebrities in the past were picked on and made mistakes. The world was quick to put them down and be nasty, although they know nothing about their personal life. But when Taylor has this issue, she’s always the victim and everyone feels sorry for her. Unless they’re guilty of committing serious crimes, all celebrities deserve empathy and encouragement to get better! Not hate and unfair judgement.
I hope Kanye is happy with himself for sending a teenager into a psychological downward spiral with his little self-indulgent stunt. I’m proud of Taylor and all she has fought through and for. She is a true positive influence for the youth and the rest of the world. I was never a fan of hers until I watched this. Today, Taylor has a new fan in me. Keep fighting the good fight.
I dont think he’s "happy" about it he just did what he felt was right at the time. Kanye did this first because he felt a industry-pushed rich white daddy’s & mommy’s girl taking the shine away from a veteran black artist in her prime moment of 20+years in the making. If he didn’t do this to her other life event would have happened to her just as bad psychologically because from what she recalls her whole identity was already very unhealthy from childhood she built herself a glass castle. This event catapulted her into international level of sympathy. And you see well other bad life events happened to her after that. Its not like this incident was one isolated thing. When you fly close to the sun you eventually get burnt.
@@hushedtones7168 exactly. Let's not give Kanye that much power. Taylor is aware that the Kanye event triggered psychologycal issues from all her life but she wasn't saying she's a victim of Kanye. Kanye doesnt have that much power over her. He's just a little piece of shit.
@@hushedtones7168 Hi I don't want to start an argument I just wanted to remind you that after what happened in 2016 with ,mommy's and daddy's girl, everyone told her to leave the industry but after what he did in 2009 no one told anything to him. I'm sorry if there's some mistakes English isn't my native language thx
It was a great documentary. She's grown up in the public eye and it's great that she's learned to keep her private life private. Seems to be the best way to get longevity out of a public career these days. We are not entitled to her private life. We buy her music, we don't own her.
@Dominus Vobiscum That's pretty unfair and rude. Everybody's relatives grew up without running water or electricity at some point, my Mother included. She's only 30. It's certainly not her fault modern plumbing and electricity had been widely available by then. Her parents weren't rich either. Taylor worked very hard for everything she has. Don't diminish her for that. She is not a brat. She's had a full time job since she was about 15 and always paid her own way in life since.
Dominus Vobiscum - she’s knows very well that’s she’s privileged, which is why she’s using her platform for good. She’s done numerous donations to the wildfires and hospitals. Whats your point?
Taylor Swift is far from over! She is stronger, grown up learning to use her voice....loudly in the best way and breaking boundaries that should never exist. Keep on keepin' on!
she makes great music but people trying to paint her as this "great person" is just too much. At least be honest and see her flaws. Just because someone don’t idealize them dont mean they dont like what they do or who they are. You can like someone whole package with their qualities and their flaws. But you keep talking like she has no flaws and that turns people off
Because people are shallow and their default reaction to anyone who genuinely wears their heart on their sleeve but at the same time stands up for themself is to judge them and make nevegative assumptions. All that counts is that we know the kind of person she really is.
They hate her just because it’s trendy and they wanted to join the bandwagon.. i mean im not a fan of her but i admire her as an artist.. she’s so lovely and a musical genius...
I grew up listening to her songs and being a swiftie. I was 13 and I’m 24 now. It’s amazing to see how she went from a preppy-good-girl to a boss lady with a humble heart Taylor Swift. Out of all artists in this generation, she’s definitely the one that people should look up to.
People should look up to me - I'm an environmental scientist. I've saved thousands of lives. I've made chemical facilities safer over my career. I work my ass off. But you don't. You look up to a musician. And that's okay - but you should know - she cannot save your life. Not even through music.
@@francisdrake6622This is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen in awhile (take TS out of the equation completely) claiming music doesn't save people's lives shows you are completely out of touch with reality. It may not be the case for you personally but you are discounting the experience of millions..
Matthew Locke Well in English the word is Mum, if you’re speaking/ writing in English you too would use ‘Mum’, you’re correcting my correct spelling with your incorrect version!
Poor Taylor. She thought the crowd was booing her. I bet she was holding back tears. I would be. And Kanye’s crowd was heartless enough to yell f- Taylor swift.
I give Taylor all the credit in the world for going out there and performing right after that happened too. I wouldn’t have been able to. I would have been like screw this im going home and crying in a corner. She handled it with such professionalism and class and a lot better then most people would have.
this is because it's become so normalized. I'm not saying being naturally skinny is a problem but she was never that skinny naturally. She was just expected to be that skinny. However, no-one should skinny shame so it's difficult to know if someone is just skinny or has an eating disorder. I suppose we can't assume.
I hope no one ever makes Kanye’s daughter feel the way he made her feel or no crowd ever chants “kill north west”. This part of her reality is sickening. Thank god she made it out alive! Stay strong Taylor💕
I watch documentary unfortunately it made me sad, because i think she only doing this because she getting old , and she said people like her need to be new and exciting or else at 35 people will throw her away
@@CRS327 i know that but i mean she might pull katy perry abd cut off all her because she turning 30.. The amount of time she bring up age abd her turning 3p was like she going throgh mid life crisis
@@emilijagospavic6120 :-) I love cats and I have three cats, but I also have lots of children. Having a cat INSTEAD of having children is the biggest mistake a woman can make.
She’s having the final laugh at the end of the day. Check out the receipts rolling in from the Eras tour. Swifties are also taking their own vengeance by sending every note Taylor creates to the sales summit. The girl can’t escape first place in the charts.
I just finished watching Taylor Swift's "Miss Americana" and I have to say I admire her honesty and her bravery being so candid about herself. One thing I hope she will learn in time is that no matter what side of the house or senate a candidate is on, there is someone in their political party that has done something smarmy to women. I'm terribly disappointed in some of President Trumps comments and attitude toward women, but those words and actions are not unique to the Republican Party. There are plenty of Democrats that have some explaining to do when it comes to their treatment of women--John & Teddy Kennedy, Bill Clinton are just a couple of examples. Hopefully, one day all men, no matter what their political affiliation, will learn to treat women with respect.
Yes you’re very right. And I think what Taylor has done in voicing her personal beliefs is for people to educate themselves and do their research on who stands with their beliefs. Hopefully people go to vote confidently not just to vote with a political party they grew up thinking they aligned with.
I know stalkers aren't a laughing matter, but her quote about, "There's a difference between I really connect with your lyrics and I'm going to break in" cracked me up.
Taylor Swift an Americana Icon. A voice people sit up and listen, she's real, authentic and she has sacrificed her sanity at times. Praying for her Mom...sure that weighs heavily on her heart. So glad she found someone she loves. Taylor is and will always be loved by so many fans. Keep up the good work Taylor. Take time for you, you deserve nothing but the best. This self reflection documentary is so telling of her mental state. America don't let this girl down. She has been through alot of struggles. We are behind you Taylor. Take this time and take care of yourself. You owe America nothing. We are better because you are in the world. You are loved ❤💕
@@yuusachiibochii6398 And you need to get a life so you can stop telling people like me to get a life for insulting someone on the internet Serve returned
I love you guys you too respect her. and her emotions and her feelings and all the other stuff . The way you are discussing about each and every moment is awesome.
@robinsumsion3485 We all feel pain, but some people have the privilege of having their problems being heard by many b/c they’re rich and famous celebrities who have the resources to create and documentary.
Really wonderful normal balanced grounded life and we decided together to keep our relationship private. Keep your life, relationship and everything very private because in that way you can enjoy everything in peace.
I dont usually comment or even watch clips like this, but I have to give it to the hosts- that was amazing. Im only halfway through but the fact that you're saying what you need to with no extra, snarky comments about her exes or other stupid things. Just focusing on her message and what it meant to her. As a diehard swiftie, that is perfect! Thankyou for respecting Taylor like she deserves
Taylor Swift - you are amazing - as a child & teenager, you have been astonishingly graceful, mature & behaved better than many adults! You are super talented & there are more of us who totally love your talent. You are a beautiful person. Smile more, as you get older, use your rights to voice your views like Bono & all humans do & keep being your super brave self. :-)
She went through everything these past 10/15 years. Luckily she has those support systems, her family, her real friends, and she finally found the right person, Joe. That's what makes her who she is now. Proud of you, Taylor.

They only hate her bc she is true talent. She is a true singer not just a performer. People only hate when they feel like someone is a threat in being better than them. Mr west should be ashamed of himself she was only a teen. He is not even a Man, he is a disgrace he is an idiot.
Nah. The idiot is the multimillionaire sitting there in her private jet talking about her oppression. She can't blame her problems on anyone but herself. Kanye has no say in how she chooses to act. People dislike her because she's getting sucked into the feminist narratives that have long been debunked. She's just another celebrity who doesn't know anything about the real world.
it has reached a state where the general public won't let you be you and feel, in one way or the other, imperfect. i guess one aspect we won't be able to fully understand is how her fights were different from ours. if you can have a bad day because 5 people are talking bad about you imagine if millions are speaking that way. her action to open up is beautiful
Love her she has change my entire life ¡¡¡ love her since i was living in Venezuela and i bring all ny love to her to Chile ¡¡¡ God bless u taylor swift ¡¡¡
It’s you saying “This is who I am today and I accept this reality. But I know that I have it within me to change and grow as a person.” It takes a lot of mental energy to NOT accept who you are in the present moment. It is a form of denial. And as soon as you release yourself to the reality of what is, that energy can be used for other things. So keep self-acceptance as you aim. In this article, we’ve spoken about the roots of self-loathing, we’ve looked at some of the symptoms of it, and we’ve explored ways to overcome this mentality and move toward a more peaceful and content place. Self-loathing is a prison within the mind. It may feel familiar and secure and you may not want to taste the freedom that exists on the outside, but once you do, you’ll realize how restricted you really were. Be good to yourself. Know that you are worthy of feeling good.
“and you are a human, you are a human at the end of the day” *then hit the table* i feel you sis, i feel youuu, why people keep hating on other people. it’s not just about this kanye-taylor thing but this is about all of us. different opinion? ok, but stop shading people please just stop🥺
