'who you love and how you identify, you should be able to live your life the way you wanna live your life, and you should have the same exactly likes as everybody else'
no because i'm about to cry. she's definitely the best thing that's ever happened to the world. i'm so proud of her, she makes me feel so happy and i feel like i'm not alone, she'll always be here by our side
I'm 57,former military, straight as an arrow and musically,Taylor is nowhere near my wheelhouse. Though I do like a few of her songs and respect her ability as a songwriter. All that being said,I have nothing but HUGE respect and admiration for this young lady. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there the way she does and she does it with grace and passion and that's a gift to the world. #LoveIsLovePeriod
oh my god wait this quote is so similar to the lyrics of tolerate it!! i feel like that's such an interesting alternate reading of tolerate it - like to a family member who doesn't celebrate your queerness
People said she's only supporting the community for promotion in YNTCD and that's it but she has always been a very supportive ally since the beginning 💙
My problem is that even if that was true IF which it's not, she's still writing a song to help us gays. It's so weird like "oh they donated for the wrong reason" when you are straight and never even donated at all.
@@kymaniplayz104What are you on to?? Not everyone in this World is a bigot and Homophobic. No one's born Homophobic. Kids who are teached to love and respect everyone couldn't care less about who you're attracted to, Who you like whatever. Taylor Swift supports LGBTQ Because why not??? LGBTQ are still people , Love isn't about gender but how you feel about someone.
6:12 The emotion in this section . . . Oh my gosh. The fact that she is so passionate about ensuring equality and fair treatment for everyone is so inspiring and it makes me emotional😅🏳️🌈
i love how most of the clips are from 2018 (or so), and that she has been more open about people's rights. She's speaking a lot about the complexity of love, and she also encourages everyone to be who they are by telling them they are brave to talk out loud about or that you are still brave if you are not ready.
I have some homophobic classmates, and I CAN’T deal with it anymore. This world needs to change and notice how diversity is unlimited and carefree, along with love. I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community, so it makes me even more enraged hearing homophobic remarks. I stand for these rights, and I want the world to finally find peace. The same goes for racism and discrimination in general. I thank my parents for raising me right!😄✊🏻🏳️🌈
this made me cry bc i love taylor so much and her music is my comfort music from my homophobic parents and homophobia in general. happy pride everyone!!!🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Important months to me being Bisexual and Autistic are April (Autism awareness month, which should really be called Autism acceptance month because we need acceptance not awareness) and June (pride month ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜) Just remember no matter who you are you deserve love 💝
As a 59 year old black man from The City Of Sisterly Love (Philadelphia), I am an absolutely huge fan of Miss Taylor Swift. I love and adore this wonderful young lady with every single fiber of my being 🌈👍🏽🥰💗🌼💚💕💙💋💖🧡💛💜❤️
everytime i see Taylor talking about lgbtq in such a sweet way i just feel really safe, proud and loved with being pansexual and genderfluid I'm really glad i stan a queen like her💗
I realised that I'm bisexual. When my parents learned were furious and now they don't talk to me. Taylor Swift has been always there for me , and specifically when I need her , and this is one of those moments taht she made me feel accepted and normal! Thank you so much for that Taylor 💕
5:40 I literally cried, I love her so much for speaking out like this. She makes me feel understood and this part was just getting a bit too specific for me, it felt like she was talking to me somehow and at that point I just couldn’t hold it anymore. Also, I really hope nobody who knows me reads this lol
Certain of these quotes are so not something only an ally would say and it makes me so confused like .... "gay pride (...) things that make me me!" or the recent tweet she made "happy pride to you too!" come on Tay, we love you !
tolerate is about a relationship where one person gives everything to that relationship and to that other person but the other partner just literally tolerates it
no but im crying. she is such an amazing ally and we're so lucky to have her on our side. she is so supportive i love it but she doesnt make it seem like its out of the ordinary. so proud of her
I feel so sad that people think she only started being an Ally for cloud because it's 2020 when she is been there all along. This woman gets hate for absolutely just existing.
@@Xuegonbaleyeah I’m gay and I really don’t Stan artist just because they support LGBT like Madonna or lady Gaga I Stan them because of their Music and personality and I absolutely love Taylor’s personality and her music despite what the media and everyone says about her that’s she’s evil and bad she donates millions of dollars to charity and her fans she invites her fans to her house for a early listening of her albums she has free meet and greets and she does everything to help out her fans she’s the most down to earth people in this planet yet she gets shifted on the most
I think about the Stevie Wonder thing she said all the time. It stopped my in my tracks when I was watching at my grandmas house that afternoon. She realized and I did too, it’s our lifelong duty to be dreamers, fighters, artists, lovers, and to leave this place better than we found it despite what may come.
I can't even put into words how much i love taylor and how much she means to me. She has gotten me through every low point in my life, her music always lets me escape reality for some time. She means the fucking world to me, and especially with her being so supportive of this, it has gotten me throught A LOT. I'm non-binary and lesbian, and my mom is......not too great with it(lets just say she once told me "gay people dont exist"...and gets mad anytime i even hint at LGBTQIA+). and everytime i need someone to be there for me....especially concerning that....i come back to clips of tay like this. anytime i have a low point, knowing tay is there just makes me so happy and her music lets me express myself...these words aren't enough to express how much i love her, but TAY I LOVE U SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH
2:32 i do agree that it's a great song but i don't think it should be called an equality anthem, i feel like that's just rewarding a song with something it doesn't need. i love the song, but one line doesn't make it an equality anthem. an equality anthem by taylor swift is YNTCD, not WTNY.
I *hate* it when the queer community bashes Taylor for doing nothing but being supportive of the queer community. She's the best ally that we could possibly hope for, and yet, people still hate her. I'm so happy she's able to ignore them and continue spreading the message of love.
Who hates her? I mean these days the only people who hate her are conservative republicans who hate that she’s encouraging her mostly young and pro-lgbtq fans to vote.
Even before knowing the actual meaning of sond "Welcome to New York" I wished that plz it should be what am thinking and now am so happy that it was the same. Am so proud that am a Swiftie and will forever. She's the boon to us. She's mature and responsible.
Taylor has gone through so much hate and yet instead of changing herself she stands up for herself and other communities. That’s so brave and a lot of other popular people don’t do this in fear of being different. To God and the Gays! (I’m not religious I just love Gaga)
i have seen many videos of christians telling other people about how the love of christ is not hating on lgbtq just because its against the bible and because i am christian i feel the need to love on everyone no matter what they believe in and you dont have to support lgbtq but you can still be kind and loving to them as they would be to you. god loves you, i love you.
The only difference between LGBT folks and straight people is who they love so if you support loving other people as a quote on quote Christian then you should support LGBT people not just tolerate us.
@@alexhuang2693 while I think that is a fair point but I didn't say we just had to tolerate LGBT I said we should love them as anyone else. I won't change my beliefs as that goes against the Bible and not everyone follows the Bible but I do. Not everyone needs to support the LGBT community as you say they should if it's against what they believe move on not everyone will say 'you go, you do you' and that's something you will have to live with. But you have a good day or night or whatever your time zone is.
@@staybeautiful06 i’m a lesbian christian. if God didn’t want us to be gay, He wouldn’t have made us gay. it’s as simple as that. no, gay people are not just going to “deal with” you disliking an integral part of who we are lmfao.
it’s so bonkers to me how a bunch of gay creators criticized her after the YNTCD video saying it’s all just performative and she’s just capitalizing on us when she’s been supportive of the LGBTQIA+ movement throughout her whole career and was doing more for it that the creators criticizing her??
there is just something so special and important when you learn that your favorite artist supports the things that are very important to you. im a non-binary person myself and knowing that she advocates for my rights is so important
I don't want to assume that she is queer but she has some bi or pan energy... anyway, I feel like defending queer rights the way she does is kind of her way to come out to us. Maybe she doesn't feel like she can actually come out because of her popularity and reputation so she leaves hints for those who really appreciate her for who she is
My adoptive mother puts on a" straight" face whenever my gay older sister and her wife are around but inside i can see she wants to snap them out of it my family has whispered that sentiment over and over again i wish they would just be honest how they really feel about my gay family and my atheism
