I love the choreography and adore Kyle's creations. The dancers killed it. I was, however, disappointed that this video only displayed 2 women. I just feel that it was a lost opportunity, considering the song and the meaning behind it.

I was thinking the exact same thing.... I love Kyle's choreography, but totally disappointed that only two women appear dancing and the song is exactly about sexism and miss oportunities women face

I actually felt the opposite. Because the song is directed towards men. If they are dancing, to me it means that they heard it and agree with it. Every person should realize how important this song is, not just women

The choreography is so great, and the dancers are ON POINT. But we should take a sec to acknowledge what this song is about, yet 6/8 dancers featured in this video are men.

As a professional dancer who has witnessed the disparity in job opportunities between men and women in the field I think it's quite important to promote female dancers in the space. Often women are seen as dispensable, because there are more of them. "I'm so sick of running as fast I can, wondering if I'd get there quicker if I was a man." Boys/men in dance often get lots of attention and nourishment early on because there are fewer, which can lead to more opportunities, scholarships, and experience. It's just that. Many men in dance DO get there quicker because they are men. Though I do understand the perspective of a frank equality, "just picking the best," or "gender blindness," I think we must be gender conscience and be aware that a decision, like who to showcase in a RU-vid video, has real impact in the way people are treated in the field. If you've read through all this, thank you.

You definitely have a point, but at the same time I don't think you have to limit the songs to their literal lyrics. I think it's totally fine for men to interpret this song in a more abstract term - as a struggle for equality - and express that through their version of the choreo.
