TTPD is my favorite album.... she dropped this album at the perfect time in my life.... because all the damn songs explain the last 2 years of my life 😂 so I deff don't understand the hate! And I am SO DAMN happy Ashley got you the correct video!!!!! 👏

I believe for the most part, the 'fans' that hate this album are the ones she's calling out in it. They've built their enjoyment of her music around the tabloid drama, the real who what where when of every lyric. They've been defending her for years saying "she doesn't only sing about her exes" but then she puts an album out that's about so much more, that has a thousand different ways to analyse it, has so many layers and lessons and is so clearly a work of fiction inspired by the real, the imagined, the historical, art and literature and they can't get into it, or don't get it, or hate it because they think it's about some guy they don't like. Yes its an extremely personal album, no it's not autobiographical.

Who’s afraid of little old me has been my absolute favorite since the first listen!!! Chills every single time even still!!!

That era from the show is getting better and better. I was watching last night live stream from Lisbon, Portugal and it was perfect, as the other eras. No part was lip synced. Her vocals was on point, and you can tell that she is starting to feel comfortable with the whole performance/ spectacle.

When you said “if this isn’t one of your favorite songs get out of here” about Who’s Afraid I knew I was in the right place. In my opinion it’s one of the best songs she’s ever made. It hit me in a place I didn’t even know existed. Hearing that song for the first time felt like relief. It felt spiritual. I cried through the last half of it. I expect if I ever saw the live performance in person I’d actually die dead right there. Just seeing the recordings of it is incredible. I cannot IMAGINE how euphoric and cathartic it was for her to preform it live for the first time.

Love this! You can tell she knew exactly what she was doing with the lyrics in Who’s Afraid. She’s trolling all the sorcery theorists. lol

People complain "the album is too long." Well, don't listen to the whole thing! They say all the songs sound alike: She builds the songs by first creating a beat and talk-singing in a rapping style - and a lot of rap sounds the same until the beat drops and then the individual, melodic elements come out. When she morphs into each of the melodies, they are very different and convey specific moods and themes. The same thing happened with Hamilton - mostly sing-talking with rap and then they created songs with beautiful melodies -- then went back to the rapping style.

Ironically the hate for this album (and Taylor in general) turned me into a Swiftie. I was pretty apathetic to Taylor and her music, wasn't a hater but had never listened to a full album of hers or anything as I mostly listen to hip-hop and electronic. Then this album comes out and I'm seeing very mixed reactions, some people loving it, others saying it's awful. Wanted to see for myself what I'd think coming from a pretty unbaised place and ended up loving it and checking out a bunch more of Taylor's work and loving that too, and even the stuff I don't love myself I can appreciate and see why others do. Now I'm pretty much a full blown swiftie, I've had her playing a lot and been watching react vids and Era's tour footage etc.

Something people probably don't recognize is that the album came out weeks prior and the whole stadium is singing along to each word

I was at Edinburgh N2 and I love the story thread of the TTPD eras set list. She's running away with the guy (but daddy I love him), shes head over heels for him (so high school), he messes her up and she loses her mind (whos afraid of little old me?), he's done a runner because he can't handle her and she misses him (down bad), the process of her trying to get over it (fortnight), the hurt of it really hits her and she realises what he did to her (smallest man who ever lived) and she is broken but has to carry on (I can do it with a broken heart). She's a genius

people are hating cause she's successful. we knew it'd come. we knew that the moment she announces and puts out a new album, there would be a massive hate. it's true that I didn't expect it this big, but we did know it'd come. people hate successful people and successful women especially. I just saw a tweet comapring Taylor at the Grammys 2023/2024 saying that she did same things both nights, she danced, she clapped for other people, she sang other people's songs. last year people thought about it as fun and dorky, this year they hated her for it. the difference between those 2 years? this year she came to win. the album is good and if you have a relationship to songwriting and literature, you're gonna appreciate that. I know that this album is not for everyone, but the hate HATE really just came from the people who are jealous of her success

I have followed your journey. I too have become defensive of Taylor and push back on haters. From Kansas City I felt obligated to get a deeper understanding and you are one of the reactors through whom I’ve gotten to know Taylor in the past year. Swifties are capable of being the people who offer the soliloquies and issue demands and judgements. The TTPD can be taken by wiser consumers as a wake up call.

To sum it all up the hate she’s getting is disgusting and it’s coming from people thinking it’s cool to hate her, Maga Republicans and Conservatives, Not all men but definitely a lot of straight men, Other fanbases, Other stars now, people hate she might be joining marvel to so Marvel fans, other football teams besides the chiefs, Palestine supporters, Climate Activists, and last but not least some of her new fans who joined for clout unfortunately!!
