When I first heard this song years ago, the very first thought I had was "It sounds like something Taylor would write" Not the music per say, but the lyrics specifically. Then years later I find out she actually did write it, and it all made sense! Now listening to her cover it, I wouldn't say it's better than the original, but I would say that it sounds natural. It doesn't sound like an artist singing someone else's song. It sounds like it was always hers to begin with. I love it ❤
Hi - I’m pretty sure this is a demo, which means this *is* the original song. Think of it like one of the drafts of the song, with this being the final version of the draft. Rhianna would have listened to this before she then agreed to sing the vocal takes for the final version. 😊
Yess!!! In the original version (Calvin & Rihanna) has background vocals by Taylor in “baby” , “lightning” and “ooh” she really write the song for Calvin using the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg but they end it up the relationship and he made it with Rihanna
Even better than the original, you can feel the emotion in her voice, she fells every single word she sings, and this is pretty obvious cause she wrote this song. Her voice is so sexy and emotional I adore it.
@@edmfan2108 Can I have an opinion? Can I have a preference? Am I allowed to have an opinion or not? I'm a Swiftie so it's obvious that I prefer Taylor's version. Btw why you care that I like a version or another? Mind your own business
it isn't on there :') but i think that's a good thing, it fits better on reputation in both time-frame and production, she officially has 100% writing credits so a rerecording is probably coming soon, like with better man and babe! :)
lyrics: Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watching her But she's looking at You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watching her But she's looking at You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh We go fast with the game we play (Game we play, game we play, game we play, play, play) I know why it's gonna be this way (Be this way, be this way, be this way, way, way) We say nothing more than we need (Than we need, than we need, than we need, need, need) I see street lights when we leave (When we leave, when we leave, when we leave, leave, leave) Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watching her But she's looking at You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves (Moves, moves, moves, moves, moves) Oh Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves (Moves) And everybody's watching her But she's looking at You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh, ooh
The fact that its “I see street lights When we leave” and “i know why it’s gotta be this way” in Taylor’s version is why I love it more than Rihanna’s one. It’s very Taylor coded
You can literally name every single female artist that would make this a hit, but none of them could compare to Taylor's rich vocals. Either way, that's my opinion.
Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watchin' her But she's lookin' at you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh Ooh Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watchin' her But she's lookin' at you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh Ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh Ooh We go fast with the game we play Who knows why it's gotta be this way We say nothin' more than we need I say, "Your place", when we leave Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watchin' her But she's lookin' at you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh Ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh Ooh Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves Yeah Baby, this is what you came for Lightning strikes every time she moves And everybody's watchin' her But she's lookin' at you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh Ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh Ooh
I think she released on the one versions of the "Reputation" álbum (yeah, with an R not 'r', somebody when watch the Reputation part at the Eras Tour film with attention in "...Ready For It?" Intro, grabs the Easter egg, the new rep version comes out with the title modified, the reputation from Reputation) Probably during the phase of the release, the announcement comes out in 11/10 at the Argentina's "River Plate Stadium" shows
TAYLOR SWIFT FIRST WROTE THIS SONG AND SENT IT TO CALVIN HARRIS SO THEY BOTH WORKED ON IT FIRST, TAYLOR ALSO MADE MOS T OF THE MELODIES,NOTES AND LYRICS ON THIS SONG. SHE CAN ALSO JUST OWN THE SONG BY RERECORDING IT AND ADD IT TO AN ALBUM
@@user-bm8jo7gt6j girl stop screaming!!! & it's just my opinion, I hate to even imagine how she'd sound on this one!!! Thank fuck she gave it to Rihanna & didn't sing it herself
