Men claim to be 6'+ for the same reason all women claim to have a snatch waist and a C-cup: capitalism has conditioned us to think there is ONE phenotype that is attractive and acceptable, and anything outside of it is an indicator that you have no status and are a gross peasant. I have seen an infinity of dating profiles from women saying "6+ only, sorry short kings" and stuff like that. I am actually 6'4", a former rower, and just legitimately a large and imposing person and let me tell you, any profile I come across with that in the body, I don't care how electrifyingly hot the woman is, I pass immediately because it feels objectifying and disgusting just as surely as if I was a woman and came across a profile that said "must have perfect hourglass figure and 36C minimum". It's gross to boil people down to physical characteristics over which they have very little control. I didn't make myself grow taller. You can have the preferences you want but you don't have to communicate them in a disgusting and reductive way like that. Just keep that shit to yourself and swipe left on the people you ain't interested in and move on with your day.
