Taylor Trensch -- "A Guy That I'd Kinda Be Into" at Be More Chill  

80% of you guys have no clue how pleasantly jarring this still is, to someone who is gay, raised in a smallish town and nearly 60 years old. Anyone on the planet can sing any lyric without any regard to how it frames the dynamic of romance and gender and nobody cares, and no body wonders if there is some gay 'statement' behind it, because those statements are pretty much dated and silly by about 20 years. Yet I am still a hint taken, when a young man stands on a stage and sings so unflinchingly and brazenly about another boy, expecting absolutely no reaction from the audience that he is. This stuff is all over an internet, all over every media, and it is wonderful . You cannot imagine what it was like when I was 17 and there was NOTHING in any direction, wherever one looked, that suggested a person might possibly feel anything like romance, or crush, or first love, toward someone of the same gender. There was porn in a magazine hidden in a basement, and there was empty silence and there was condemnation.

Taylor should play Christine and they could call him Chris or something
