This box set covers my attempt to circumnavigate the Island of Skye by inflatable boat. Starting from Taynuilt of course. It didnt all go to plan as you will see if you watch the complete box set
Just found this and am I glad that I did. What a lovely adventure and how I wish that I was there. Loved the rib, very good at getting into the coves, etc. Cannot wait to watch the rest. Thank you so much.
I always carry a closed cell foam mat as a backup in case of air bed deflation. Even if you forget your pin number you can always get cashback just from scanning your card at the checkout, as long as the total bill doesn't exceed £100.
I to was overwhelmed on my last camping trip with a verity of insects & foul weather testing my patients but it's worth it for the life lessons, experience & the occasional "perfect" day.....
Top notch once again Donny...your direct experience an excellent adventure...i can relate to a lot of situations and environments you are in ....i often find that when your stuck, a little down or things just do not go to plan.. some thing always turns up for the better ...its easy to laugh with hind sight but its tough going for sure....exciting and enjoyable for most part though...i reckon...really looking forward to this whole trip ...thanks again for bringing back some great memories of the west coast of Scotland
Thanks Kevin..every trip hasits highs and lows ..and we just have to push through. Its a long box set as I eventually got righ round Skye..but it was hard going at my age. Still it makes plenty videos..part 2 now on line ..enjoy it too
@@donnywilcox hard going for sure...i found the steering wheel set up easier than the tiller..kept gettin cramps n sore wrists n fingers... when you get the wind chill it aint comfy at times...
I don't know why this came up in my suggested viewing list, but i'm glad it did, Thoroughly enjoyed it, great story telling, and i can't wait for the next chapter. Thanks very much....
Great to see you back out, everyone has these challenges at times. All you can do is push through them and things work out. it makes a good story too! I was very close to copying your Quicksilver inflatable/engine setup but ended up getting a cracking Seapro 520/Mercury 60HP which will take me to all your haunts very soon. Hope to see you out on the Seas one day. cheers
Great video again Donny, and a pretty ambitious plan too. I've thought about heading round Skye myself but the fuel load would be hefty and Rubha Hunish is a pretty exposed place to be if the weather turns. Maybe you're just braver than me 🙂 Where next though - a trip around the Outer Hebrides?
Hi Doug ..It took two atempts going from taynuilt to get right round skye so I used plenty fuel. Second attempt which suceeded was 320 miles all in..and used 110 litres of fuel. I doubt Im braver than you..but may be more familliar with Skye as I have does it several times and also explored individual areas in my small F Rib and 6ph. Its well worth the effort as the scenery is superb..as you will see in the videos :-D
Great effort Donny, I've been stuck in the doldrums here, but hope to escape soon. I always enjoy a laugh at other people's expense, so thanks for that too! Damn those convenience zips I say. Keep ahad.
Hope you are getting out the doldrums Ashley..I had an incredible time although it was a hard shift.. I eventually got right round Skye so there are a few parts in this box set :-D
This is a wonderful adventure Donny and I can’t wait for the next episode 🍻 I’m old fashioned and trust cash ... it’s good to reminded why 😁 I hope you get the pin sorted my friend .
3oo miles is an epic journey fair play! Looking forward to the rest of it and crossing my fingers the pin number comes back to you. Marvellous video as always
It was 600 miles all in Carey..as I had to have two attempts because I couldnt get money to complete the first attempt..but what an experience it was..as you will find out in the videos :-D
@@donnywilcox Oh dear! Gutted you forgot your pin but pleased you got more miles in and eagerly looking forward to seeing it all. I cannot get enough of your videos,. Many thanks 🙂
