I'm glad that a relatively minor character like Magic Brian got such a great part! Honestly, if he hadn't been around the whole adventure wouldn't have happened, so it makes sense that his song is all about "the coming of a new era".

dude, it's no secret that i absolutely love your style but omfg?? this animatic started out so powerful and each scene was just getting better than the previous and i was SCREAMING? each time a song switched i was just like "yOOO!" this was so good!!!!!!! your style and your choices of which villain got which song were spot on? my favorite part was the john part tbh,, idk that scene just hit me the most but dang this is so good and op?? this animatic is absolutely goals. keep up the great work!!

Aaah, I’ve always been a huge fan of the angularity on your style and it looks especially fantastic in this! I love the way you drew the hunger and all its hands and eyes! I love how there’s no clothing details on magic Brian, so I can only assume he’s either wearing skin tight latex or is buck naked. And either one is exactly in character.

OH. MY. GOD. I just relistened to the entire Balance Arc. Happened back on your channel after watching your other TAZ animatics, and this was posted TODAY. BRILLIANCE. UTTER BRILLIANCE. Edit: After re-watching it about 10 times so far some comments. I love how well the vocals fit Magic B, and the lyrics "tiptoeing nearer" when he's doing little paws. Really shows how silly of a first boss he was, but at the same time he's still a big baddy. Everythings still beautiful, and John pulls at my heart strings. A ship I never thought I needed.

If you're planning on doing a part two Mother knows best reminds me a lot of Lucinda but if you don't want to count her as villain you could do hodgepodge for that. Friends on the other side would be great for Legion. Jaffar's song is harder but since it's about transportation you can connect it with Jenkins, or maybe when Sloane pushed jumped off the cliff and made that giant monster

i'm DYING. this is so GOOD. your lydia could punch me in the teeth and i'd thank her. taako's face of "yeah right" at "this one longing to be thinner" and just your taako in general? BIG YES. magnus' face at "this one wants to get the girl", OW. my boy magic brian and his bff bryan are looking great as ever. you perfectly portrayed his general vibe of "could be absolutely terrifying if he wanted to but luckily for us he's a total goober". could we Take a Moment to appreciate taako's expression as brian knocked him over and merle's face being the perfect mix of scared, confused and completely blank? and how merle threw a fucking ROCK at brian to stop him from stabbing gundren? and that TRANSITION with bryan? and the john part?? BRB CRYING. i'm at an absolute loss of words to describe it. it's just. my HEART. you can feel his shame, fear and pain as the hunger starts to rebel and punish him. somehow it's really painful how, even as he's obviously terrified of what the hunger will do, he still can't help but smile when he looks at merle, how he actually looks happy when he reaches over the table to hold merle's hand in his thoughts and then it immediately cuts to the hunger growing angrier? and it's especially bad because for a moment he looks almost relieved, thinking that the hunger forgives him for not being able to hate merle/being too in love to hurt him? and then it all goes to shit when the hands starts grabbing him. and ALSO how the hunger appears slightly calmer after they're done torturing him, like it's some sort of "we've already made you hate yourself for having emotions (because they're obviously keeping you from feeding us), so we'll leave you alone for a moment but just remember we can and will hurt you again the second you mess up again" situation. then just as it hurt the worst it switched over to edward admiring magnus' ass. amazing. i love the idea of the vogue elves just being completely oblivious to what's happening as the whole arms outstretched sequence unfolds (which, by the way, if you animated the whole thing i would go COMATOSE because i adore it with all my heart and the sneak peek we got is already amazing), i love how merle's a bit confused and taako is just in complete disbelief of the fuckery that's happening, utterly pissed, twitchy eye and all (since, if i remember correctly, merle failed his perception check and wasn't aware what's going on at the time), i love how you've portrayed taako's soul jar spell, i love magnus big ol' grin as he realised taako was coming to the rescue, and i especially love the look of absolute terror on edward's face as the umbra staff starts sucking him in. i've never seen someone portray "oh shit" so perfectly. also i already saw your tumblr so i know that's how you draw elf ears but taako's ears move and? that's THE good shit. and i would fucking die for your art style in general you do such a good job portraying the characters' personalities with such simple shapes i spent a solid hour just watching this over and over again it's...so...good...

I absolutely love every piece of this. I wouldn’t have thought the goofy twink Magic Brian to be an evil bastard Scar, but it fits perfectly! And the Gaston being paired with the twin in Magnus’s body? Hilarious and clever! And John’s devotion and servitude to the Hunger being pared to a holy Frolo who is temped like he is to Merle’s compassion? G E N I U S! I’m 100% sure that if the McElroys have seen this, they would be totally proud and in awe of it! Great job!

I absolutely love the smaller detail of how normally your Magnus' mustache is close to the nose and far from the mouth, but when he gets possessed, his Mustache moved a bit further down to cover his upper lip and make him look more dastardly.
