TBC Go-Kart Crash and Flipped 

I am surprised that many people commented on moving hands on the steering wheel, I thought people are here to see the crash instead of my hands. But since it got commented so much, I should provide some background info. My wrists were injured from auto-x events, but I had to be at this karting event since I have registered with my team. I had to move my hands on the steering wheel so my wrists don't get twisted past a certain angle, as that is very painful and would make the injury worse. I don't have problem with people calling me a noob, everyone is a noob to someone. Hope you all enjoyed the video anyways.

I'm amazed that practically no one stopped and instead carried on as if the guy's kart is going to magically flip over like some video game and resume like nothing happened. In that situation and where you initially came to a stop, you should've stayed there - not only to help the driver (if safe/necessary to do so) but also to alert drivers behind that there's an accident and to make your kart one more thing between them and that driver.

Majority of people are the main reason why many uselessly dies on the road. "Trying" to help only to make our job (I'm a paramedic) much harder because you became the extra victim. In EVERY racetrack (from indoor rental kart to F1) the first rule is NEVER EVER stop in an active racetrack. It's marshalls' and medical personnel to check on a crashed pilot. As long as you don't see a red flag, you keep pushing.

WOW. I was wondering just how the hell you'd roll a Sodi RT8. So, That's how you do it. Nearly happened to me twice, and i've been hit hard. Shouldn't have passed right there and the guy beside him should have given room. Though I doubt he knew he was right there -- A good reason to have spotters on teams, even if the communications are one-way. It's something I've brought up to our local track recently to help with marshalling. But, it is still just a racing incident. Shite happens. That's why you have seat belts, helmets, and rollover bars on these. Good to know the guy was OK after that. Also, thanks RU-vid for showing me a 2 year old video. It's better than the 7 and 8 year old ones you've been asking me to look at. And to those upset he didn't stop -- You don't stop unless you're already involved in the wreck. He, and those around him, did right in getting away from the crash so that the track marshals could deal with it and throw the red lights on. The guy that was involved should have been the one to unbelt and assist in getting the operator out from under it until marshals could step in.

I head on crashed into someone full speed at the outdoor richmond track because they tried to turn around on the track. Ended up jumping over his kart, scraping his knuckles. Ended up with some bad whiplash. Wish I had it on video.

That should of been a red flag the second the kart went over. It’s incidents like this that highlight poor marshalling

i know this vid is 5 years old. but it is amazing to see that no-one stopped to help him. even if it is a race, you should help when save to do so. instead, people went overtaking like nothing happend. if that guy was critically injured, everbodybody just left him there, with 150kg on top of him.
