I was trying to be friends with a guy in high school I would see draw by himself every lunch, and he might've thought i was teasing or making fun of him when I really loved his drawings. One day he accidentally let slip a quote from this playthru and quickly apologized- until I quoted back "THE DEVIL'S PIT- THE KIDS'LL LOVE IT" That's when we finally understood each other and he continues to be one of my closest friends out of high school over a decade later. I'm glad they helped me form one of the best friendships in my life. I'll miss these guys so much.
Ok I just gotta say I’m so sad for Taco, losing all of those views, likes, and comments for work that clearly took a LOT of time. People say that compilations are less work than original content, and most of the time that is probably true, but when so much care, work, and love is put into a compilation, it almost transcends the source material. Thanks Taco, I appreciate it a lot.
@@chelsie2767 So what happened is that all of the SBFP comps on his main channel got demonetized (can’t remember the reason), so he had to delete/unlist the comps over there. That’s why they’re all on this channel now instead of being on Taco Fun Box. It’s just really shitty that it gotta be this way.
@@albinoburrito900 I hear you, and I can understand your point in some situations, but TBFP is long over and done with (my heart’s still broken tbh) and the edits made in these comps seem to me as enough transformation to the original work to qualify as a separate product. Just my opinion of course.
Goddamn yknow what i remember about this playthrough? How fucking loud the intro on these was in the original eps, i remember trying to sleep to it and the intro would wake me up EVERY TIME, memories mannnn
Yeah, they had some REALLY weird issues with the audio volume levels, especially in the early days. The first and second shitstorm also had ridiculously loud intro and outro compared to the actual videos. I also enjoy listening to the playthroughs while going to sleep and I'm rather sad that I can't do that with certain ones because of those issues.
Best Friends Play videos are classics - and though they're sadly no longer together, I like to rewatch some old clips from them for the nostalgia. To this day, quotes from the guys would pop up in my head occasionally, and I'm grateful that they helped introduce me to the OG Silent Hill franchise and many other great videogames (some of them underrated/not often spoken about anymore imo).
I remember I was hyped for a new silent hill when this game came out but I was too broke to buy it so I looked up a lets play and found the 2BFP channel and I stuck around watching them for almost a decade.
same thing happened to me except I was interested in silent hill in general and recognized them from the Machinima work. Back then the channel was called TheSw1tcher though… crazy times
I just found this channel and i feel so lucky, almost like I could completely erase my memory of one of my favorite games or shows and rewatch it from the beginning because this has been such a gem. Feel really lucky
I always return to your compilations because I don't always wanna listen to the intro and outro of many parts. You capture the best moments imo and your editing is pretty funny. Dunno how anyone couldn't like it, but don't stop!
I still think this is 2nd best Western made Silent Hill game. Shattered Memories takes 1st but I think this game tried more than Homecoming ever did. It had all the pieces of a good psychological survival horror game but it just didn't work out. It's less annoying but just disappointing.
24:40 - I don't know why Pat is complaining about the Puzzles being designed for babies... every single baby puzzle in the Resident Evil franchise was pat trying to shove a triangle piece into his mouth after trying to press it into the circle, the puzzles in Downpour being designed for babies would probably be on par with his puzzle solving skills
Did this game have any actual boss fights? Like SH has a bunch of fights, 2 has PH and that hospital one and the bed and more, SH3 has a couple, Homecoming has 4? What does THIS have
I've mentioned this before about Downpour that elements of Fugitive and Terminator 2 are in this game here is why . Sarah Connor wanting to kill Miles Dison at his home but then just couldn't do it after all . Doctor Richard Kimble getting on that prison bus and then it crashes in dark woods during the night . well then we have this mysterious mail delivery guy showing up often like some secret person from The X Files series . revealing little information an disappearing afterwards with no explanation for where he went off to . If there is something strange in ghostly town as Ray Stats would say who you gonna call someone else . 👻
@@SteamPaladinthis game has like no boss fights. You just go to an area, beat up mobs, do a dumb puzzle, ad nauseam. Like Homecoming is dog shit but at least you did a little more than here.
It's great having more and longer SBF compilations, but all these dumb edits inserting images, clips, and music are really bringing these down. The axe moment, for example, is completely ruined.
How? These complications are better made than most that were made years ago, they contain moments that many people forgot or skipped, the editing is well-done, and they’re all on one channel aside from several different ones.
Yeah, I guess so, but the SBF channel is 100% dead. Nobody's making any money off of it, and I doubt anyone even logs into it anymore. If you're going to make unofficial compilations ethically, a dead channel is the only scenario I can think of.
