Man! I miss playing this game! Still have my fleets, ( Imperial, Chaos and Orks) but playing this again would entail me teaching someone to play it....Guess I'll have to wrangle my Gaslands crazy brother-in-law into a game or two... Thanks for the video!
BFG, one of the GW greats. I have a large Imperial fleet so I sold my Chaos starter fleet last year and..... ....accidentally started to collect Eldar 😂 They’re close to the top of the painting queue so will be launching torpedoes, hopefully before Christmas 🎄 Good batrep. Thank you.
Great battle report! I don't think the Eldar took advantage enough of that asteroid field on their left flank. Could have easily used that to dart in and out of and force the Tau to flush them out. Great game by both of you though! Only thing I noticed incorrect was the Tau Battleship using Come to New Heading, which it is prohibited from doing. Thankfully it didn't effect the game at all.
Someone at GW specialist games has to be testing a BFG reboot - Indomitus Crusade for example as an ideal setting to have fleets flying around en masse fighting everyone else. And Warcradle are meant to have their beta for Firestorm Armada coming out soon for more spac ship action in the near future!
Oh they must be! However i think they will do a horus heresy at first as well. Just easier to have two fairly similar forces to save costs and dev time. Much like the original and reboot of AT. Hopefully they quickly expand it and at a faster rate they did blood bowl and necromunda initially
@@MadSpaceWolfDiary I sure hope not. Locking Titanicus to the Heresy immediately killed any interest in it for me. Biotitans! Phantom Titans! get creative and show us what Necron or Drukhari Titans look like!
I enjoy these BFG reports. I never played the game myself: my gamer group at the time played Star Fleet Battles and BFG “wasn’t a real war game.” For all of SFBs complexity, it didn’t have one iota of fun.
@@RowdiesFan1 It got silly with six Nightshades (12 torp salvo). I liked using a couple Aconites (for 5 firepower) and four Hemlocks (1 fire but a pulsar); strip a couple shields with batteries and blast them with pulsars.
As much as I love the miniatures and idea of battlefleet gothic it’s really disappointing when big ships fight it feels like they are throwing tissues at each other. I like 40k for the only war and destruction aspect but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a medium sized ship or above ever get destroyed in a battle report
