Can you beam a toneprint on the fly (without a usb) with an acoustic-electric guitar? Or does the beaming capability only work for electric because the pickups are exposed?

I actually don't know. As long as it can hear the phone, it should work

I have a version 1 of the Flashback mini. The quality of the effects is fantastic and Toneprint editing really is revolutionary. I love some of the celebrity Toneprints, such as the Andy Summers "Walking on the Moon" setting, the Alex Scholnik "Wall of Echoes" patch, as well as some of the truly crazy ones. I have gone through plenty of pedals, but have not considered replacing my Flashback mini once. The new version has some welcome additions from the full sized pedal. Mash was not in the version 1, nor was the ability to select buffered bypass - I really like that for long delay sound-on-sound stuff. Currently I use a Boss DD-7 for that.

Andrzej Marczewski there is only one caveat to the mash button for me. It’s not totally comfortable to press it down unless you’re wearing shoes. I have only used it on full sized TC pedals, so the mini may be different, but it’s slightly too big to put a knob cover in the foot switch. I have a pair of indoor-only shoes that i put on when I play, and I have quickly realized that the footwear becomes an integral part of the mash interface. It’s like choosing string gauge or guitar picks.

Well done... I’ve not gotten into the TC pedals as the whole tone print thing scared me off. I want to turn the knobs & get what I want. Otherwise I’d get a helix or something like that. But I can totally see where something like this could be useful if you want to get exactly the sound someone else has.

For me it's the opposite. I want to sound uniquely like me, and with this can 😄
