TC Electronic Flashback vs EHX Canyon Delay 

I have the flashback v1 and I think the Canyon has evolved the sounds pretty good. But the fb is stereo and the tone print make it a plus. Great demo.

Got the Canyon about a year ago. Great little pedal, sounds fine and looks nice on my board.

Well, I have the Canyon and I played around with the Flashback in a store and I want to get it now. The biggest difference between them is that the Canyon is more of a modulated delay, where the TC is more of a traditional delay, sure it also has modulation, but it's easier to use the EHX for that, like the shimmer preset on the EHX is absolutely amazing, while with the TC I got just huge soundscapes, so they might be similar in a lot of features, they are quite different. Now about the no stereo, that's been fixed in the Grand Canyon that was announced and demoed like a month ago, they packed it with even more stuff now, so it's a completely new beast now, you should check it out. And by the way, the Flashback 2 changes things up a bit with the Mesh feature which allows you to add some sonic madness in sustaining the sound even more and bumping the volume for a huge sound wave. Love the video, you just got a new sub :)

I have them both, but then upgraded the Canyon to the Grand Canyon, which beats them both. I pretty much always have one of them in my sound on one of my two setups.

The effects of Canion are more unique! It's good for me because I don't use stereo output! Flashback I've had two and I'm curious to buy a Canion. I thought I had better quality!

Canyon is not true bypass, even when "tails" are off. It has a good buffer though.

Just get both, you're not on a deserted island. Cool!

I will get hate... but I don't like stereo delay... gives me a headache. Don't hate! Just my preference! This video was very helpful I think I prefer the Canyon for the options, wackiness and somehow, I prefer its less pristine and precise sound.

I tried two HOF 4X and both were duds so I went with EHX oceans12 thinking of paring it with a Grand Canyon. The HOF did have two really beautiful patches just awesome... but the tone print feature was broken as well.

Great video, thanks, I bought the TC because of the stereo and dotted eight switch and it was 40% cheaper than the EHX , but I never had a chance to try the EHX. It all comes to personal preferences

Have the Flashback 2, its alright, but absence of tap tempo is a pain (using stereo inputs from Iridium) - saw a video a while ago where they seemed to be able to strum a tempo in to Flashback but could never work out how to do it on mine??

I know that Flashback (as any TC Toneprint pedal) work with line level signal. Does Canyon able to handle line level signal?

The Canyon also has dotted eighth notes and who cares about tone prints thats a pain in the arse. I want simple turn the knob tap in the tempo and done .

How about digital or analog? Both sounds real analog in analog Mode?

I love slapback delay, which I see is a mode on the Flashback. Is this easy to do on the Canyon?

Stereo creativity, Cheaper, packed of preset feature. Sound wise? Not too noticeable for me. I am just guitarist not hifi guy. I go for the flash. No doubt

You consider the fact that the canyon doesnt connect to a pc a con? Nope that's a pro all day, we need less digital pc preset crap and more straight up pedals to shape our own sound and not just download a preset and sound like some other jackoff.

Why does all these delay perdels sound like tecno music at a rave.Society is so easily impressed. I hear people commenting on how well the player is doing, when he is just hitting a couple of notes and technology is doing a number You have to get a delay pedel that doesn't color over your sound.whan you turn these on,it completely destroys the natural amp tone

I bought the Flashback just so I good download the House Burning Down toneprint. Been trying for years to get that sound.
