The TC rig sounds good, Nice Carvin Basses. My Carvin Bass amp just died at my last gig and I just found out that Carvin Bass amps are now OUT OF BUSINESS after 70 years. So I'm now looking for a nice bass amp that sounds good and doesn't weigh a ton. Sounds good man!!
Just bought a BQ500 as a backup for my 500WMarkbass Mo'Mark Head which is getting old. Can't wait for it to arrive and to give it a try. I was after a transparent reliable light head for a reasonable price, and this seems to tick all the boxes. Set and forget, that's how I like to roll as well. Just use presets on my Sansamp Programmable DI pedal if I need drastic changes to tone.
I own RH 750 & AH 800 1x12 2x12 and 2x10 and love them ...(I mix & match depending on gig) ... ps your are a brilliant player , really enjoyed your clip ,,,,thanks : ) ps I play "Status" bass like Mark King and "the Muse" Chris Wolsteholme , brilliant combination ............... loved your solo at the end ; )
Kudos my brother Ben! I'm looking at the BQ-500 and a TC 2x10 cab. I believe for a smaller much lighter rig for rehearsing and smaller gigs. U know I'm in my infancy with bass playing but my rig is like toting an elephant around! Close to 200lbs with both cabs.
Totally digging your playing very inspiring. I purchased the BH550 because it seems nobody has an 800 in stock any more. I love it so far, but what tone prints do you use? So far I have stuck with compression on 1 and octave on 2. I do have an Ashdown 800 coming in (long story) so I will compare them and return the one I like the least.
I just bought the RS210 and it’s very disappointing to find out that it didn’t even have 1/4” input at the back speaker. And it didn’t come with Speak-on Cable out of the box. My amp output only has 1/4” and now i have to spend another $30 to get the cable that has a connector end of 1/4” to speak-on! How inconvenient this is!
Food Porn Network if your cabs are 4ohm you only need one to use the full power of the head. If you were to connect both of your cabs it would be a 2ohm load which that head shouldn’t be run that low.
@@benjonesonbass Yep, I think you need a 4 Ohm load on these things, so don't daisy chain two 4 ohm cabs or you will be below that and might blow the head. Too much current, not enough resistance.
