Doing my bit to get you all into the Christmas spirit with a true classic by good old Tchaik! Ballet mesmerised me as a child and I remember many happy winter evenings dancing in my living room to his music. I have always loved tuned percussion and the celesta has forever been a firm favourite of mine. I get SO HAPPY every time it features in a piece or a film score. It was nice pretending to be one for this arrangement, although I don't know if I could ever be quite so twinkly.
I want to also dedicate this video to Peter Cunningham, one of the wonderful founders of British harp makers, Pilgrim Harps. Peter very sadly passed away recently after a battle with cancer - to honour his memory and support others who suffer this terrible disease, Pilgrim launched a Christmas Charity Video Campaign to raise money for Cancer Research in December which raised over £800 in Pete's honour - a great effort by UK harpists for a great man! RIP Pete.

Other than the fact that this piece was played very well. I think we need to highlight the fact that Amy has played some notes with accents along with some Umph.. I'm referring to the Staccato and Sharpness of each note. throughout the piece we notice lots of elegance accompanied by its appropriate speed and precision. This video clearly demonstrates talent , skill along with Many many years of practice. Please keep playing for us all to enjoy. Merry Christmas!!

I used to think doing this was really offensive but then I got over myself and reverted to what seven year old me would have thought! Plus now I get to buy my own tinsel and I thought this black and gold stuff was about as tasteful as I could get.

one of my favorite things to do is go through every arrangement and performance of a piece i can find to find the best one. this is definitely the best arrangement and the best performance. her precision, staccato, and dynamics are really quite flawless and so tastefully chosen, and this arrangement, sold on her website, is also the best. she adds some very notable details and chords/octaves that are missing from other arrangements that make them fall flat. those additions in her arrangement make it far more striking and accurate to the original. thank you again Amy for crushing it!

The thing that scared me the most is the fact that she played both parts by herself ;(which I know is common) but the finger coordination you need to not mess up.
