I like they are SLOW. I find Rtings TEst are d MOST accurate. They base on Facts n on HOT panel rivals they even take LONGER so they do not show biased results. Most other Influncers are doing a Quick “impreession” to gain MOST youtube views. “Who gets the TV Review OUT FIRST “ type of thing. I ❤rtings. They are d ONLY site i trust for now . Most online Tech Review sites are paid off these days. Rtings are staying firm to their spine . They buy tv. They dont get TV SENT to them. N since HIsense TCL tvs Arrive Canada 1-2 months later than USA. They do NOT get First dip. But they do well for what they do. :) 😊
I got the 85 inch hisense u8k because the hisense reps and supervisors told me it was a ips panel when i got the tv i could tell immediately it was not a ips panel but va. How hisense does not even know their own tv panel is incredible
Good point, we'll pass this feedback along to the team for additional consideration. Part of the issue though, is that we only tend to comment on comparisons we have our own data for, and we haven't bought and tested those specific sizes. So, we just wouldn't want to speculate much and risk providing incorrect information. Sorry about that!
@@samirshah5411 obviously. But those were the front runners 🏃♂️ last year and should be evaluated side by side in the large format category for Mini LED 4k. There was no competition from Sony or Samsung in 2023 in 4K Mini LED.
i bought my hisense u8k 3 month ago and in my opinion is awesome !! i first decided to get the qm8 but i saw these 2 togheter and picked the hisense no regrets!!
Love to hear that, thanks for watching! 😄 Hopefully we're able to make your choice a little easier, check out our full comparison here on our website: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/tcl-qm8-qm850g-qled-vs-hisense-u8-u8k/37973/38181?usage=1&threshold=0.10
You can get 144Hz to work on the qm8 with nvidia gpus using a custom resolution but the overshoot is really bad unless you can sustain 144Hz the whole time.
I looked at the Tcl image and it looked very good. I would have liked to buy TCL, but from what I understood, the upscaling is very poor. I bought the G4 anyway. If the upscaling had been good, I would have bought the TCL.
I own both the 85” TCL QM8(guest bedroom) and just got the 100” U8K (living room) for $2999. I love both and agree the TCL is certainly brighter and its remote is backlit, which is amazing. Video games on both whether it’s Xbox series X, PS five and switch has been phenomenal. I tend to favor the hundred inch since it’s in our living room. After being spoiled by the hundred inches I can’t go back to anything smaller than 85.
We got a 110" Samsung Micro LED TV last year and are picking up an even bigger one this year. That's being spoiled, I'd say your choices were more reasonable and economical. Spoiled though, nope.
@@vgnvideogameninja2930😊BRAVO 🎉for your Micro LED. Dont try to pretend u are NOT One uppping the 100” guy. He’s smart getting that u8K 100” . If at 14’-16’ Far enough Zoom out . There really is NO significant difference in visual. But he can save that $130000 he can bank to buy Tesla Y series n go for Vacations yo. :):):) 😊 Wise. 🎊 Stay in your TV lane, friend. Enjoy your Micro.
Dude literally said at the beginning of the video that the tcl has better contrast and as soon the video starts the comparison on picture quality it showed the Hisense having better contrast. So which is it dude? The Hisense or tcl have better contrast? At least be honest
At the beginning of the video we specifically mention that the 75" U8K has an ADS Pro panel which gives it worse contrast than the 65" model that we fully tested and showcased in this video!
The Hisense has 1 panel among 55” 65” 75” 85” 110” , only 75” has ADS-PRO (still very high contrasted , 2x of contrast ratio of common ADS). So he said that 75” has worse contrast than the 55” 65” 85” 100” ones. Cuz those use VA panels (Traditional VA good contrast but u have to sit directly in front of tv not at til angle. (Slight tilt is okay). Its not worse much tho. Its like saying “my friend she’s shorter than me”. Ppl will think its shave off 1-3inch. Gut liteally can turn out to be 0.3-0.5 inch. But its sill bullet prof they will still have higher contrast than those Sony x93L. No fail.
@@xuimod that maybe true idk if it is or not but I have a series x and ps5 so I need both my 120 and 144 hertz hdmi so it’s the convenience of havin a separate port for my sound bar so I can get that full Dolby atmos
@@xuimod This Review is Not accurate. TCL'S eARC supports whatever your Audio Receiver supports. If you have a 11.4.4 this TCL TV will support it. The work is done in the Receiver Not in the TV. If you are Streaming Content 90% of what you Stream is Dolby 5.1. Dolby 5.1 has been the standard for decades for every major studio. The Latest Movies still have Dolby 5.1.

You can still improve the picture by playing around with the settings and adjusting them to your liking, but you just won't likely receive the same thoroughness as professional calibration.
You hear???? 🙉 What else does the voices in your head tell you???? TCL is the Most Reliable TV manufacturer there is. TCL'S TV'S are the least returned TV'S made.
@@darlingtonjonesimagery9247 You are plainly Lying!!!! You are an 🧌 obvious Troll. I have repeatedly asked you for proof of what you are saying and All you have done is change your story. The Truth is TCL is the Most Popular worldwide TV Manufacturer. TCL sells more TV'S worldwide than any other Manufacturer. TCL is the only TV Manufacturer that Manufacturers nearly every part in their TV'S. They make their own Screens. Their own electronic components. They manufacture their own CPUs. No other TV Manufacturer controls the Quality of their TV'S as much as TCL does simply because no one else Manufactures nearly as much of the parts that go into their TV'S as TCL does. TCL TV's have the lowest return rates of any TV manufacturer. Hisense TV's are the most Returned TV's with the highest failure rates. LG and Samsung have a less than stellar Quality control program. Their TV'S are inconsistent in Quality. The more you pay for their TV'S the higher the Quality is though. Sony TV's are typically very reliable. No Manufacturer has been able to produce a product that never fails. Quality Control is about ensuring everything you manufacture is made with the highest Quality materials and that the entire process is done consistently using the best process possible. TCL does this better than anyone else.
Review is for the 75 inch with ADS Pro panel but you show contrast from the 65 inch review with the VA panel. Wht is the contrats for the ADS Pro panel?
We bought and tested the 65" model first, and a bigger size after. so our data was first available for the 65" model. Sorry for the confusion! We'll be publishing data for the bigger size on our website!
The 65” screen size is 1.4X of 55” . The 55” will be fine. The SONY X90L at 55” has like 53 maybe 58 local dimming zone. . Yeah I am talking about x90L. Its pathetic. Do NOT even let sales ppl try to pull attention to “upscaling upscaling bs” lol. 😝

Is there anyway when doing these videos to add in known issues with the devices. I needed up having unfixable issues with a u8k several days after getting it.
It's definitely something we can consider. Part of the issue though, is that if we include all the data from our full written review on our website, it'd be far too long of a video, so we have to pick and choose and what we include. if you're looking for more data, you could always check out our full reviews! :)
Hdtvtest measures 4000 contrast ratio on the Hisense u8k , how come u measure 7000+ ? To be honest I have a trust issue with you guys specially when you mentioned that Samsung s95c is full bandwidth which is not , you have a lot of mistakes in your testing
Vincent most likely put HIsense ON --FILM maker mode. That ugly grainy mode. Yeah. No wonder the U8K look like came out of dental surgery . That mode is like throw dirt cheese soup 🥣 on you brand new TESLA n smudge -mode. Lol. It turns off 100% picture processing/upscaling. Digital Trends does that to U8K , UX too. He is EVEN MORE ridiculous. He turns SHARPNESS setting to --ZERO. N like”this is accurate setting ppl”.
@@nonyabusiness6084 A lot of my ripped library is DV, I won't ever buy a Samsung until they start supporting it, every other tv supports it. So no, it is not ridiculous, what is ridiculous is that Samsung does not support it.
@@ShuhDonk I agree to an extent. I don't see why Samsung doesn't just add the feature if it's not that expensive. Which if Vizio, Hisense & TCL can do it, so could Samsung. But I do understand why they don't on principal. When it's just not necessary other than to make Dolby money by paying them to help promote them. Dolby Vision was created to solve a problem. The meta data couldn't be processed accurately by earlier versions of HDR10. But that's just not the case any more. And all your collection can be watched in HDR10 & every other TV manufacturer does have DV. DV just shouldn't be that much of a deal breaker if Samsung has a good enough TV without it.
Are you saying the EARC port on the TCL only puts out 2 channel audio? That's a really big deal. No wonder the EARC port is not utilizing an HDMI 2.1 port.
Yeah, neither for me. My Hisense is so slow after 3 years of ownership that it makes me frustrated and angry. Power button to screen on takes 29 seconds, then it takes another 13 seconds before the built in android tv decides to take over my apple tv input uncommanded. And my old mans TCL after 1 1/2 years devolped a giant green hue over the middle 2/3 of the screen making it unbearable to watch. Both are straight up junk in my experience. Better to save and get name brand TVs.
All this Chinese, the tcl panel comes apart but gusense has 60 hrtz unless you go to the u8,this is america,we need to get rid of Chinese electronics, they mess up and are cheaply made
From what I understand, television sets above 65 in will have the image getting pixelated and stretched out. If anyone else has information on this please leave it.
@@Yoga_Tv_buying they literally said the samsung s90c is better at upscaling and it's even on their website. 8.0 for the Samsung and 7.5 for the Hisense. your bias is showing.
Rtings own website about--UPscaling “ Our test uses a 480p video with a non-square (anamorphic) pixel aspect ratio. Even though we're using a 480p signal, the results of this test are valid for any low-resolution or low-bitrate source, like DVDs or cable TV channels. As the quality of the signal increases, the sharpness processing of the TV is less important, though, as the TV doesn't have to work as hard to produce a nice image. Even going up to 1080p can make a huge difference, as most modern TVs do very little processing on 1080p signals like Blu-rays, so issues that are exposed with a 480p signal aren't as obvious.”
