TCM is by far THE classiest channel on cable! They reverently introduce and play every movie as if it's that movie's premier. I have great respect for what they do and stand for as a company. "Mad, Mad World" is one of my favorite movies, and they give it great respect here. They did the same with two lesser-known favorites of mine, "Vanishing Point" (1971) and "Gumball Rally" (1976). It's always a pleasure to watch a movie on TCM.
I always thought the moral of the movie was great. When they’re suffering in the hospital at the end: when life gets you down and appears hopeless there is always something to laugh at.
