It's a must for the direction of the arrow to be given... However, where it is omitted, maybe it was an oversight, you have to choose any side as your front view, but you mustn't fail to indicate on your drawing sheet the side you have chosen as your front view as this will help the marking process. OK... It's "TECHNICAL DRAWING FOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE AND G.C.E. - BY J. N. GREEN." Just google it u should see how it looks like online (Black text on blue background). However, I don't know the country you're from but u can just check into any educational material bookshop and ask. 👍
