Been to the air museum a long time ago. But you gave me a little surprise. About 6 min. and 45 seconds into the video you are out in the graveyard. Plane number 512 is a "Vought A-7 Corsair II" I know from taking care of THAT plane. I was one of the last electronic tech's with VA-305 out of Point Mugu California. LOBO Squadron !!! (as you can see on the tail) Made my day to see the old bird someplace that will take care of her. Adam, thanks for the walk down memory lane!
That was pretty cool Adam.Used to go to the Abbotsford Airshow every year just outside Vancouver B.C. Blue Angels,Thunderbirds and The RCAF Snowbirds.Brought back some Great Memories of My Dad.Thanks Bud!
Adam, If you make your way down to the Northern Virginia area, and you're interested in seeing space craft and planes, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, by Dulles airport would be a great place to see. They have the space shuttle Discovery there, as well as a ton of incredeble restored craft.
seriously the daily woo videos should be put on your main channel with its 250 k plus subs....these videos are far better and more compelling in content and longer....the fact that you do this everyday without fail would easily make your channel grow much faster...these videos are funnier and better doesn't make sense to put them on a channel with 53 k subs vs. the other. my 2 cents hope you don't mind...these words are coming from a good place and since your about to leave cali...change everything as well...you cant go wrong showing these to an extra 200k people. best of luck!!
+shimy333 his two channels are perfect! Both entertaining, fun , magical, MAJESTICALLY MAJESTICAL.... why would he need to change everything? That makes no sense! Lol
' member when in the running man, the game show guy who arnold sent down to a firey pit of pain- told him to " go to hell!" and Arnold coolly said, " I don't do request." hahahaha that was funny
That was Awesome...... thank you so much. Glad you didn't run out of gas. Was wondering where all the workers were in the museum. Glad that gentleman found you. I loved all the information. Thanks again.
Great video as always Adam love em all. In case you were interested the "tank truck" you saw is called a half track and the "wing" you picked up/touched was actually the rear stabilizer and rudder for an aircraft.
I still run across TDW's I haven't seen, glad I found this one. That's a very cool air museum and boneyard, for people who know their aircraft (many far better than I do) there's some real gems there. I liked the C-69 Constellation variant at 10:08, you don't see those too often, they didn't make very many of them. As always, thanks Adam for finding the interesting stuff and showing it to us.
I really like this episode. So many interesting airplanes and helicopters that you normally would not see unless you work at one of these places. So cool that the employee showed you around and told you a little history behind some of the planes that they acquired . SUPER COOL ADAM
I love vintage aircraft and I loved this video! I did some volunteer work at Planes Of Fame in the 1980's...that place has changed some, or maybe I have.
That airplane museum was totally boss...I am actually more attracted to the ones outside waiting to be restored, thanks for sharing Adam! 20 days to go, that's now officially less than three weeks!
Congrats on getting rid of one more thing! Hopefully you'll get rid of the rest. We have a museum, too here in Mesa at Falcon Field. It was an air force base that trained American and British pilots during World War II. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport was Williams Air Force Base and also trained pilots.
Love the museum and great video! I thought it was a funny coincidence that you as well as my wife and I were around planes yesterday. We went to a local RC flying field last night that was having a big get together.
Aprox the 7:40 time you were wondering about a bird noise, many airports have installed electronic predatory bird sounders. the periodically make the sound of hawks . They scare away most birds
The Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio is really awesome. They also have alot of items from the space program. You can spend the entire day there from open to close and not see everything. If you get the chance to go, I highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed this video. I've been to that air museum years back. As a retired corporate pilot I can really appreciate it!! By the way, the guy giving you the tour said John Travolta has a 747?, sorry no, he has a Boeing 707 painted up in Quantas airlines paint scheme, and he has other aircraft as well. Good luck selling the last bits, and good luck to you as you start off on your new adventure.
There is a place like this in Florida near the Kennedy Space Center called the Warbird Museum. They don't have such a large boneyard but they have an impressive indoor display of all kinds of vintage aircraft including a Blue Angels jet. They also have an airstrip where they regularly fly the restored aircraft.
Do more of these "abandoned" airplane/helicopter bone yard videos, Adam! I LOVED this! Awesome way to keep "Song of the South" music alive at the end by the Coldstone Creamery ladies... had me laughing too! ;)
You're correct Travolta does (or did) have property outside of Gainesville Fla., with a private runway. Its super country out there. My friend's mom actually helped close that sale when we were in high school.
POF museum next door is very cool too. I've been a docent there for years. And no...that place on Euclid doesnt have the coldest beer in town, the Staters up the street does.🤣
Quick Fact: the art on the front or side of the plane is called "Nose Art". It is a decorative painting or design on the fuselage of an aircraft, usually chalked up on the front fuselage, and is a form of aircraft graffiti. It was started to being able to identify friendly units and then evolved into expressing ones individuality constrained by the uniformity by the military. It began by the Italian and German pilots. But I must say, THE MAJESTICS nose art is menacing!!!!!!!
Chino, CA - reminds me of the O.C.😊 Also, if you get a chance to head to San Diego before you leave CA, check out the USS Midway Museum. It's an old Navy ship with a lot of history, and on the deck they have airplanes that were used all throughout the ship's history. It's fascinating!
Man. Your life tempts me to leave mine and run around and see the world. How fulfilling, I respect that move. From 1 80s kid to another... "Roads? Where were going, we don't need roads...." 🤙✌️
Wow adamthewoo that place is awesome! When you are on the east coast you should check out the air and space museum next to Dullis airport in Virginia outside DC. They have the last flown space shuttle there with so much more!
If you like Aviation Museums, you need to come to Pensacola for the Naval Aviation Museum with 285 aircraft under roof. The best part is that it is FREE. It is the home base of the Blue Angels. Tuesday and Thursday (when they are in town) they do their full Air Show over the base and that is FREE too. Come to Pensacola and check us out.
This was awesome! I'm diggin' that airplane museum. That guy that works there has a cool job. Con Air is one of my favorite movies! Actually I just watched it recently, lol.
Hey Adam. you gotta check out Planes of Fame in Chino as well. Real working plane museum. Once in a while, there are airshows featuring the planes that are on display. Great video. On a side note, during WWII The Walt Disney studios were commissioned to do the air squadron logos.
Adam your a legend always wanted to go here but I live in australia Casey got it wrong about Travolta Aircraft he does not own a 747 its a ex Qantas Boeing 707-338C keep up the good work hope your throat clears up!
Adam, always look forward to your daily blogs. Just a bit of trivia, that female prison you drove by houses two former Manson family members. Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel.
cold stone! nice its also in Canada or at least southern Ontario... there is also another place called Marble Slab where they mix and match the ice cream and put in what ever... i go to one when i visit friends in London Ont..
Hey Adam! I didn't know you came by the Yanks Air Museum! I work with them and was probably the day you were, just missed you. XD I have to got there today to talk about the F18. You and I met at Disney23, I know you won't remember me but hoping to catch you at your meetup next Saturday. Was hoping one day I'd see you again and take you flying in my plane and you could get some airborne video somewhere local, my plane was even right outside the fence and might have seen it.
Loved the museum. John Travolta lives in Ocala. I will not name the neighborhood but it allows you to own an airplane and share a runway with your neighbors
