This might be a little nitpicky but obscure island and deserted island are two separate maps. The map shown in the video that is described as “obscure island” appears to be deserted island.
As a person who had to play ttd for that shitty classic event I can confirm that every player who has a good tower sucks ass because why the hell would you put a splash damage tower on a place where it cannot do splash damage and do they even know that the early defence exists if they don’t have the limited shit tower that just gives money (YES YOU HAD TO PLAY THIS GARBEGE TO GET FARM)
my problem with this mode is not the pacing of the mode, but the speed of the zombies themselves. Every single zombie besides the fast zombie, the abominations and the revived rangers are really slow. because you have so much time to kill slow zombies, you can very easily just skip to give yourself a cash boost to help take out the slow zombies in time to catch up with the wave you just called over. This is the only mode that lets you get away with this, which while it could be good for beginners to have a big window of error, this can give the idea that you can feel free to skip every wave for extra money but ultimately dying because you can’t prepare for something like a charger boss.
