In this video, I wrote that Pedro is "3 months old." Pedro is exactly 4 months and 10 days old in this video. I have now tried to rectify this oversight in the video. It is not my intention to mislead anyone and I apologized for this oversight and hope this will clarify some confusion I may have caused. Thanks for watching. All the best, Liz
Pedro the Budgie - When I go out, I put Pedro on to keep my budgie company. He taught her how to whistle, no kidding!...Above you wrote, "Just for fun, let's see if you can figure out what I'm talking about." I give up. What is Pedro talking about? I can pick out some words but not sure what he's getting at. ;-)
I had a budgie, now about 3/or 4 years ago but unfortunately passed away, but this little fellow rimind This little bird is just as sweet me of my bird called Sunny. he was pure yellow in colour and i have told him many a words in his life.He talked with his eye closed and just chatted away. He lived till 5 years old and he was my very best friend. He has greeted me in the morning and we always had a wonderful time together. I do miss him to this day! this little bird is just as sweet as my bird was. He remind me of him. Wonderful to listen to him. Thank you very much for letting me to listen to him. Lovely!
You're most welcome JJ and thank you for sharing Sunny's story with us. I'm glad that Pedro reminded you of happy times with Sunny. Thank you for watching and wishing you all the very best. Cheers, Liz
J J awww! I know how you feel I lost my budgie Pooters about two years ago not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I still walk around the house whistling sometimes and buy bird food to feed to the pigeons on my balcony. Sunny sounds like a sweet bird. Watching these videos does help take the edge off! Love and light
It just goes to show how happy and loved Pedro is in all the videos. He is a happy bird and I wish people would care for their pets as well as Liz and Wal do xx
Surprised that at 3 months the bird has developed so much vocabulary. Must have grown up around a very attached owner or another bird that could talk. Very Impressive!!!
I'm going to try to play this in the morning for my birds to see if they learn how to talk. I have a bunch of babies right now that are 3 months and two that are five months (all hatched at home). Not sure if my older ones will pick up on it but I'm hoping the babies do. I have six new babies still in the box and four eggs in another box. I'd love to teach them all how to talk before they go to their new homes once they are old enough.
My budgie, Cielito Lindo, learned to whistle from listening to Pedro. She's a hen and I heard they're not as talkative so I'm glad she whistles now. I leave budgie songs on the computer when I go out so she has company.
this is the smartest bird i have ever seen. he is smart and funny and such a character. you have done a wonderful job providing a stimulating and caring home for him. he is truly part of your family.
Thank you for this. I have an old phone hanging in birds cage while this is playing. Alfis loves it. She's licking the screen bouncing with joy. 😂 I'm going to see if Alfis learns to talk from yours. 😂
Hi, I have had a video for my bird to watch and listen to the talking. Fritz didn't engage with it. I put Pedro on and Fritz really responded. For 2 hours and never was bored. He's about 4-5 months old and I have hopes to hear him talk. I've talked alot with him so it's a big possibility ☺️
What a super budgie..I love him..so do my 2 budgies who watched any listened to the whole video..we all enjoyed very much..thanks for uploading xxxxx Pedro rocks xxx
OMG- I always had budgies and loved when they'd go into their little talking sessions. I had one that sounded just like Pedro, especially, when I'd pull the blankie down over his cage to sleep at night. He'd go through his whole rwepitware until he'd fall asleep. It helped me fall asleep, too! So adorable!
CAROL WADE- What do you read into everything! You've got to be kidding; my birds were ONLY in cages when it was going to be dark in the house and it would be dangerous for them to be OUT! from about 11pm - 6am. In addition, they were within hearing distant from my bed! Yes, I guess you could say, it was all about "me," - NOT wanting to wake up to a tragedy! I rarely respond to youtube videos; just thought this was too sweet to not comment on. I guess even this can get a hater like you to take be such a "PILL." My daughter is an overnight vet tech that handles emergencies. When the animals come in as an emergency (which is usually the only ones being brought in, in the middle of the night), the animals usually have to be kept in cages, periodiclly, when they're being treated- there are times, when it's appropriate. Well, I'm done, because it's all about "me!"

Carol, I didn't take them from the wild, But i did take them in when their owners no longer wanted them, They can not be set free because they would be prey to the larger birds or other animals, so you may think on this and read my post. it may help you to see that responsible pet owners love and care for them. Kindly. Deborah G.
I wish. hope that they talk....I talk to them all the time...but really is not that important as long as they are singing, chirping, flying and eating...healthy!
Hi there- I just came across this again and was so surprised about my past posts- I now remember the convo (s,) Anywaaaay, his voice is so unbelievably precious. I just love it!!!!!
Wow he is only 3 months old and his nose is already so blue?? My baby was almost 6 months old before his nose turned blue. He was a talker at 3 months also. They are so cute!!
R u sure you don't want to get a baby girl budgie for Pedro to adopt & love? I think he would be so happy to have someone his size & kind to play with & talk to all day, & night, too. Love u Pedro!!
Such a romantic you are 😍. I had a parakeet and he was always busy and so happy. He did things I wish had been videod. Played on the floor mainly. We played soccer with his favorite toy. Oh, I sure miss Josie. Was such a character. I could tell many stories.
Very smart budgie! His cere is very vibrant for 3 months old though, both mine are around 4 months and still can't quite tell if they are male or female
Hi Jeffrey, Pedro is exactly 4 months and 10 days old in this video. I was editing a few of his videos at the same time and I got confused with the dates. Thank you bringing it to my attention and I hope you still enjoyed the video. Cheers, Liz
Thank you to the owner/trainer of Pedro the budgie for sharing this 1 hour of continuous budgie talking because we use this to let our budgie listen. Hopefully he can learn some of your human speech capability! We will be happy if you will post your latest 1 hour of budgie talking in human speech. Thank you again!
@@PEDROtheBudgie ICH HABE AUCH EIN LIEBEN WELLI ER LÄUFT AUF MEIN HANDY UND HÖRT PEDRO ZU UND ERZÄHLT MIT IHM KANN ABER NICHT REDEN, JEDER LERNT ES WOHL NICHT ?UNSER IST 3 JAHRE
Thunder chicken isn't one to talk. She enjoys a nap and rest around 2:30-3:00. I put this on and she sang along with him. Attempting to 'mimic' him. Pedro is so cute! :D
All of mine 7 sitting under the ceiling on their Rope and listen 😂❤😊 greets from Coco and Kiki, Hanni and Nanny , Bibo and Bibi and Lilo ❤ from northgermany ❤
That's cute. I just hope he doesn't learn some of the swear words that I missed taking out in this video. Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best to you and your cuddle love bird. Cheers, Liz
I've never heard of a Budgie much less see one. He is adorable. Thank you for sharing him. I saw one video that said he fell out of a tree as a baby. Where do you live that is Pedro's habitat? I want one! Happy New Year Liz, Wal, and Pedro
Thank you and Happy New Year to you too. We are in Australia and Pedro is an example of a native Australian budgie. He came from my son in-law who breeds budgies and was given up for dead as this had happen a lot of times before (budgie chicks getting kick out of the nest). I did not want a pet, so I got Pedro by chance. How he turned out the way he is has got a lot to do with the amount of time I spend with him which is almost 24/7 since I work from home. Cheers, Liz
Hi Carol, I've just seen some of your long comments on Pedro's videos. Could you please stop tarnishing all pet owners with the same brush. This channel is not set up for people to put comments of their own personal views. If you keep doing this, I don't have any option but to have you ban from this channel. Cheers, Liz
Carol Wade. Pedro is a happy little budgie who is obviously loved very much by his owners. And he can fly around freely as far as i can see and has bonded perfectly with Wal and Liz. So please, please, please: cut the BS.
Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? It's interesting for me since budgies are popular pets where I live (CZ, Europe) and so I can't imagine someone would never heard of budgies 🙂
I have an African Grey and if you know about African Grey’s being the best talkers, , she would not just copy the words of this little cutie, but she will repeat them exactly like a parakeet says them, sounding just like a parakeet. This little sweetie is a great little talker.

I'm not an expert on budgies but I am however an expert in keeping Pedro's records and I promised you that he definitely is 3 months old in this video. Please check out his latest video at 10 years old and it's even much bluer. Thanks for watching.
The very top post has a correction on Pedro’s age; He was 4 + months old when the video was made. I play it daily for my baby and I love to liste to him too.
