How could you possibly give this a thumb's down?!!.. Every time I watch/listen to this tune it makes me feel so good!! and hopeful... yes - please - vote baby - and teach your children well - and love!!!.. and dance
They all blow me away, but the combo of Grandpa Elliot on Blues harp, Roberto Luti on slide guitar, Tula on vocals, and the fabulous drummer is combustible.
"old song" ??? nope ... because it was written in the 1970s doesn't make it "old" ... it's endearment just means it's a timeless song ... not old .. Just like "Ripple" by the Dead
This live performance embodies all that we believe in: soulful music with an inspiring message helping us to move forward as a human race, one heart and one song at a time!
+Google Minus FIrst of all, love the name Google Minus. Second, thanks for the correction. The song was on Deja Vu, which was released in 1970, so I must have been thinking about when I heard it on the radio.
@@alan4sure What? He didn't say he's been listening to THIS song for 70 years! He didn't even say the song is the most beautiful, it's this rendition he likes over all the other music he's heard. That is so obvious.
Every time I hear THIS version of 'Teach Your Children', I feel a hand around my heart, squeezing it ever so gently, meaningfully and tenderly! And then I am so thankful that I can hear it - let it sink into my being and I am transformed! Thank you 'Playing for a Change'!
I found out about this band as i play the button accordion and learnt one of their tunes. and learnt it in just over 30 minutes, now i can play along with them. This rendition sung by Talu is simply magic. I am fed up of all these up coming people who think they can sing and go on shows like the voice and just scream.. every person here in the band is true talent and bliss to listen too... i do wish i could go to one of their shows and get to meet them and shake their hands.
dam and i felt silly sitting here with tears runin down my 70 year old cheeks some of the best musak i have heard in years and years >inspired oh yes I am
This is now my favorite version of this beautiful song. The whole band is hitting on all cylinders, with the gorgeous guitar intro by Roberto Luti and the soulful harmonica solo by Grandpa. And then there is Tula - that voice, what can I say?
Have played this more times than I can remember ...still get goosebumps every single time ....breathtakingly beautiful ...know this is sung from the soul ...the way it should be! xxx
I love love my Tula and my Grandpa Elliot. May our paths cross someday. Tula, your voice resonates in my soul. And who doesnt love my Grandpa Elliot?! Thank you for being you!
I've been listening to and loving this beautiful song for almost 50 years. This is one of, if not the best, versions ever. Awesome. I tried and mostly succeeded in living it as well. Love and peace to all.
I Love you Tula! simply and honestly. All these "playing for change" videos are amazing. I hope to someday be included in one......................... much Love.
Some really great music and songs that by showing them being played around the world proves that in the end we are all one people; especially when it comes to music that moves us and our souls.
Dear Lesley, she's Tal Ben Ari, nicknamed Tula, she's a fan-freaking-tastic singer, and she's involved in many PFC productions. Look here: playingforchange.com/musicians/tal-ben-ari-tula/
Tuve el honor y el placer de conversar unos minutos con Tula y me asombró su sencillez y cariño. Su voz es maravillosa e ilumina todo el escenario con su talento único.
Greetings from a 65 yr old fart from Kalbaskraal, South Africa - beautiful, beautiful, what a stunning version of this beautiful song, the bass, guitar, and her voice - sublime
Love this song ! Nice cover... Awsome that these musicians do so many classic, beautiful songs. Brings me home across the years and the planet Thank you playing for change..
Listened to this again and its going straight to the top of my playlist. This rendition has amazing heart and soul. When the RU-vid reviewers get ahold of this, it's gonna blow up!!! Peace!!
¡Sencillamente maravillosa Tula¡ No me canso de oírte. Nunca he oído una versión tan preciosa como esta. Te deseo lo mejor y que jamás pierdas esa belleza interior que siempre te acompaña. Un beso cariñoso. ...
2 beautiful female vocalists. 1 so pure and the other a deep soulful tone, then 2 brilliant male voices in clarence and grandpa, wow wow wow what a quartet, add on some outstanding musicians, theres not many cover versions i like better than the originals but PFC change that everytime i hear them
+rcdiggs ,because they dont care/understand/appreciate what they are actually listening to,this is why the human race will always be divided, between those that only see something commercial and those that listen with their hearts,so sad !!!!!
My sista, Tula: Girrl, you have such "flava". I just adore your spirit. Since you have performed with so many great musicians, especially African musicians, I vote for an honorary citizenship for you on our beautiful continent. Lovely being that you are. All the best. Happy Passover, 2017 although I'm claiming that you are now an African :-)
