EVERY dog should learn how to use a ramp. The reason it's so important is because jumping is not always good or possible for dogs. For example young puppies can hurt themselves jumping and older dogs aren't able to maneuver themselves in an out of cars, on and off beds and furniture and more.

In this short video I give you the basic steps to teaching your puppy or adult dog to use a ramp. Step by step you'll see me teach Joey and Max, his Akita puppy to learn to use a ramp in a safe and easy way. Within 5 minutes he is using the ramp at a very good incline, ready to get into a car.

Loved this. I teach height right from 8 weeks by getting pups to walk non fallen logs, low walls etc. Zed now loves to be as high as possible now. Every day she jumps up on a high wall and trots along till the end and hops off. She does it because she wants to. Obviously as a pup I was there to ensure safety . Building confidence is so important and these small things are the way to do it. Great video. Thank you : )

I had purchased a ramp for my two dogs to help them get in & out of our vehicles & on to our High Cal-King bed.. Right in time, I have a high SUV , my GSD puppy needs carried up and I am afraid I am hurting him.I have a ramp from my old dog , tomorrow I’ll start training .👍👍Thanks .

I led my 5 month old Malinois up to a teeter totter and he walked right up, and down Like A Boss. Genetics are paramount.

Hi Robert . . . how long do you train your puppies and what is the sequence? For example from their crate to potty, to train then play. Back to the create?

I noticed going up was easy . He got in the trunk no problem .Coming down was another story 🤔. Coming down was the real work but we did it. Then when the exercise was done, put the ramp away , the silly pup got over confident and tried to jump in the trunk and fell in his bak 😬. I was petrified .

I think you're great. But gender doesn't play a role in how well we train our dogs. Mom's, Dad's, and Nonbinary parents a like, all have to take an active leadership role in their dogs life. Again love your videos 😍😍😍😍😍😍
