Question Of The Day Answer: I am a student, so uh I don’t really have that many things for school. I do have some sections in my weeklies for things like projects, small group (in the afternoon where the teacher meets with a group of kids to teach a small lesson. It can also be optional, and we have clubs after the lessons.), etc.

I completely relate about the bujo vs teacher planner internal struggle. I am trying to find a balance between the two as well. Thank you for making this video. You are one of the few teachers who bujo that make videos about it.

That’s a lot of things! Excel, Notion, and your journal! I don’t think I could ever keep up with that many things lol

@@alinskyjesusballecer4363 yeah, I can’t imagine myself doing it either! At least you can keep up with two journals! I have some school stuff and my personal stuff in one journal! I think once I get into higher grades that have more work I might need two journals because of the work.

@@prettypeach13 True. We always have projects that have due dates that are 2 weeks prior to the given date so I really need the other notebook to plan what I'll have to do for that project and at the same time keep up with other daily assignments ☺️

I’m a student so my college job i don’t use to plan other than when i need to come in. I use my bujo for everything and i create a master assignment list on excel once i get all that information just to get an idea what my busy weeks are & etc.

A a project worker graphic artist / inDesign person I'm just taking tasks and then writing revision notes before sending the files off at the end of the day. Nothing too fancy. Just check boxes on my daily timeline currently. Sometimes on bigger projects (like after-school-club time tables for 40+ schools, yes in this pandemic, not the best time) I mark a whole week for that because at some point in the day I know I'll mess up if I work on more than 6-7 timetables a day. Because these still need to be "made by hand". And as this is only second half a year since this has been introduced and they have no permanent solution/way to set them all up I dread how they'll manage after I leave. Same with other projects that I do. Oh well.

I’m a teacher in the USA. I keep grades, attendance and communication notes on our LMS. I have a printable I use in a disc notebook for weekly plans and an A5 bullet journal for monthly overviews, meetings, notes and to-do lists. I also have a personal A5 bullet journal and a TN long term collections notebook.

I'm a project coordinator and I've come to use 3 systems together that make one "mega system." I have a dry-erase board that has a space for upcoming, but not yet set up projects, and a sort of ghant chart of deadlines for projects in process. Then I have a desk pad monthly calendar for the top task for each day in each project I'm running, and lastly I use MS Planner to set out the steps to completion in each project, start to finish. I share the MS Planner buckets with other staff/departments I'm working on that project with so they too will be able to check off steps/add notes/etc. (I don't actually use my bullet journal for work stuff.)

My planning system is a task app, a planner, and my bullet journal. Being a student, this semester I felt very nervous about not having a planner to have assignments preplanned. Not sure why since I did my bujo last semester no problem. I use my bujo now for everything else: a photo journal, information about things, trackers, etc. And lastly, the task app is just what it says! I’m trying to decide between notion and the task app I was using before. I did try notion to preplan for school, but I wasn’t super enjoying it.

Looking forward to the Notion video! I'm a teacher and one of my goals this year is being more organised. I got great ideas from this video for bujo spreads, so thanks!

Question for you: Why do you use excel for grades instead of your LMS - what are the advantages? Also, really excited to see your Notion video coming soon - I'm planning for the spring semester (I teach at a university) and am interested in seeing if that would be beneficial for me.

Our LMS only records final grades, but in Excel I can record as much as I want 😛 for instance, with my seniors, in a topic test they might get a “Merit” overall which goes on the LMS, but in Excel I can record points per question, total score, AND the Merit. Helps to see patterns in the questions my classes are/aren’t doing well at to identify areas I may not have taught well or who is struggling with what 😄 For my middle school students it’s much the same, so on the LMS we only give holistic mid-year and end of year grades, but in Excel I can record those as well as specific assessment grades, points given for each criteria, etc. which really helps for when I want to give targeted feedback and write reports 😄 Hope that makes sense! 💜

I use a bullet journal for meetings, due dates, special projects, tracking student progress, and notes. I use Planbook.com for planning each class, and I use a gradebook app for grading. I’ll have to watch your Excel video, as I am intrigued by the tracking students by standard aspect. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

I tried to set up a teacher bujo for this year, but it ended up being a lot like the planner I was using before. I guess I will turn back to that one next year as it will save me loads of time setting it up. I do marking and student grades in Excel and sometimes urgent school related to-dos end up in my BuJo which I usually use more for personal things and as a diary.

Question of the day answer: I teach french (year 7-13) and psychology (year 12-13) in England. I gave up of the standard “teacher planner” years ago and mainly use my bullet journals (B6 size). One to have a trace of what topic I am teaching for each lesson(title and L.O and HW), critical events, tests, exams and deadlines (combo of termly, monthly and weekly). I also have a separate bullet journal to record minutes of meetings with my departments and CPD/Twilight sessions, where most of the page is for notes and an extended margin for tasks. In addition to these, I use excel to keep track of grades and schemes of work. Hope that can be helpful to someone. Jess.

I'm a student. I use my bullet journal as my main place to keep track of everything in my life. I have a separate school journal in which I just note down important things in school like what we learn, tests etc (I do transfer things from here to my bujo). Apart from that I also use Trello similar to how you use notion. I plan on a weekly basis and keep track of bigger projects. It also lets me get more into depth about each task with checklists, due dates etc. Sound quite overwhelming but it works for me😅

Question of the Day answer : I do only use one notebook for all of my collections. Though I'm not a teacher, I do use mine to track assesments that are due that week and a separate notebook for project planning and assignment overview. My main notebook is for my personal stuffs ^-^ That's all I have lol

Question of the day answer: I’m in academic research. I use my bullet journal for my daily/weekly tasks that need to be completed. Also in my bullet journal is my kanban board to track manuscripts. I use google drive to organize all of my files. This includes shared excel files tracking the status and data from sample processing. I use evernote as my lab notebook to record what was completed in a day and any calculations done, and I can link drive files to a day’s notes. Lastly, I use mendeley to organize pdf manuscripts for when I’m writing. It seems complicated but it works!

I use my LMS mostly for teaching stuff. I am trying to plan my daily things in a A&O bullet journal. And started a paper planner for school, but ditched is very soon. I am looking forward to your video on Notion. I am trying to understand it, and I do kind of.. :-) But I have no clue where to start. Start with a class schedule or the lesson plans or ???? All the RU-vid I've seen today has dazzled me a bit.

Question of the day answer: My workteam is divided in pairs, and we rotate tasks daily, so all we have as a planner is a monthly layout posted on the wall which specifies which pair will do what every day. However, I'm about to start my teaching career, so this video arrived just in time.
