The male singer is Marko Hietala. He has an amazing voice. If you really want to hear him react to Nightwish songs like, Kiss while youre lips are still red, from Wembley. And The Islander, from Tampere. And my favourite, their tribute to Pink Floyd with the song High Hopes, live from End of an era.
Oooooo my favorite. I’ll be typing while you’re reacting to them. This song absolutely represents how Nightwish came into my life. It’s how I feel about them. You can’t have Floor silly! She’s married to Hannes (drummer for Sabaton) another great band btw 😉 yes it’s symphonic metal! I still can’t get over you’ve never been to a concert! Okay now onto my honesty, as it’ll always rear it’s ugly head, if you pause it, rewind it a few seconds by hitting that back button. That’s MARKO! His bday is tomorrow! He’s no longer with them. He left a year ago yesterday 😞 other than that, great reaction. Whatever you do, NEVER watch these videos before you react! Follow NW on social media, and both NW and Floor have channels on YT. Best of luck! Just some Jen who’s lightweight obsessed with Nightwish!
@Just Jen Reacts, is not obsessed, it's well aware that there is no other band that even comes close to Nightwish. You have to, at least, listen to one song every day.
you traveld a long way from the U.S. to sweden :) but NW is worth every trip. saw them in 2019 in berlin. awsome show :) see on your next sabaton reaction jen ;)
@@godfatherofbloedniss I can’t wait for the next one! The new Sabaton album is gonna be EPIC!!! I think he needs to check out @Epica next?!! Maybe Floor with Simone in Sweet Curse!!! Oooo! Then with Henk! Omg there’s so much material out there! I also hope he gives After Forever and Revamp a go!!!
@@JustJenRx jen is freaking out 😁 and it is allright. Yeah there is a lot to check. After forvever and revamp are Not my cup of Tee but that is Just my opinion. Lets give Michael some love and WE will see how the future will go. Greetings from Germany
I use the highway every day to go to work. As a NW fan it's getting pretty hard to find a song on the radio and not switch immediately... The bar is too high.
You could also watch their documentary "Please learn the setlist in 48 h" in RU-vid. It shows their journey to this concert and much more, it shows how Floor came to this band and Anette left.
It's OK! I've got a crush on Floor, too, and I'm a happily married mother of three. It's more of a fangirl type of crush, in the most respectful way possible. I've actually never fangirled over any celebrity, actor or musician in my life, until I heard her sing.
This song was originally written to be performed in operatic voice - but Floor does it in pure head voice - and that's more than incredible and awesome added together - it's phenomenal!!! And yes Marko and Floor were the perfect match - but Floor can match every single singer on this planet. She currently does the duets with Troy in Nightwish - but she has done duets with so many of the top singers from all over the world - she can match everbody - easily!!
I'll give you all the names of band members. Floor Jansen - singer. Tuomas Holopainen - Keyboard's -metal Mozart Marco Hietala - Bassist Jukka Koskinen - new Bassist. Emppu Vuorinen - Gitarist. Troy Donockley - Multti instrumentalist. Jukka Nevalainen - Drums. Kai Hahto - new Drummer.
Oh I have a crush too! As a woman listening to metal for loooong years, which is undeniable a rather masculin universe, it's empowering to see Floor so beautiful and badass. A true role model (among other female metal singers of course)!! Can't wait to see more reactions to live nightwish songs!
I love this presentation, the energy, the arrangement and the vocals are unbelievable. Floor's voice and Marco fit together perfectly. Instrumentally excellent. Think they are MEGA Cool with everything they do, all Band members are so Happy together. I really enjoy this... Thank you Love from The Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️
Greetings and Love from Köln/Cologne, Germany ...great reaction, dude...its fun watching you discovering Nightwish. If you dont mind...May I give you some advice ... In order not to lose the vibe of the song, you should rewind 5-8 seconds after pausing the video. Peace and Stay Safe, my friend 💚
Marko (the bass player) sounds like 80s rock because he started in the 80s. :) He has a very powerful and interesting voice. And here's a hint: there's a second male voice in Nightwish, someone you haven't seen or heard yet. Keep the surprises coming. :)
I enjoyed your reaction and comments. One small suggestion. When you pause, backup a few seconds before restarting and in that way, you won't kill the flow of the song. Since you don't know where the high points are, backing up will enable them to be enjoyed. 😀🤘
Hello Simple Viking, I love you reaction, and I want to see more of them. Please be patient and do these reactions for us to enjoy, and do not listen before on spotify. Each of their songs is worth it. However, there are a couple of songs you need to really wait listening to and especially prepare yourself for by doing some research. These are The greatest Show on Earth, Poet and the Pendulum and Shoemaker. But a good next one would be Romanticide. My favorites are Ghost River and the Islander (Tampere version, please use the link in Gabriels list), it is a joy to hear Marko singing that song and get the audience singing along with it.
Hi Michael, if you want to get an idea of Marko singing ... "High Hopes'. Just for the start 😂. And the 3rd one is Troy (doing background vocals). Best one "How's the Heart" accoustic from Planet Rock. But maybe Floor is killing this song completly, too... I am not sure if you will survive this masterpice. 😂😂😂
Wow, nice reaction! Nightwish is just so amazing. Discovering them is truly one of life´s great journeys. I see how amazed you are about Floor. She really is so special. Everything about her blows my mind. Composer and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen is so extremely talented. His lyrics and compositions are pure beauty. Enjoy the ride.
Having a crush... get in line! ;) But enjoy yourself, there are dozens of fabulous songs, i'm sure your till-then favourite will be replaced several times. I heard you're going to Swedin Rock...I'm jealous, Nightwish will be there too 🤘
Awesome reaction man, glad to see you appreciate this great song! Floor has actually said this is one of the hardest to sing, it was originally written when the band had their first singer, Tarja. As you noticed Jukka is a phenomenal drummer and puts on a great performance! Marko has some great vocals in other songs, but you'll see as you go on your journey, enjoy and dont rush it!
There hasn't been a female singer since the beginning of time that has the stage presence and puts meaning into the songs better than Floor Jansen, whether she's with a group or solo. You can take that to the bank.
It was 1999, one Sunday, and one friend came to me and gave me ‘Oceanborn’, the second Nightwish album. When I came back home, I listened to the first song called Stargazers, and then stopped the CD, and waited for next Monday so I could go to the store and buy all I could find from them. I came back and then I got the certainty i just found my favourite band. 25 years later, it still is. And then they recruited Floor Jansen, my favourite metal singer. A dream come true. I have listened this song countless times, and everytime, tears of joy start to flow on the last choruses; that intensity, the power in Floor’s voice, it’s mesmerizing.
Hello Michael. I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja ) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. Greetings from the Netherlands.
For more Marko listen to: High Hopes (Marko solo) Phantom of the Opera (with NWs first singer Tarja Turunen) Romanticide and Yours is an empty Hope (both with Floor) The Islander (live in Tampere with Floor as background singer) There is much more stuff with Marko as a singer: Delain, Tarot, Masked Singer Suomi (as Tohtori) ...
This was the song that hooked me back in the days (more than 20 years ago!), when I heard the version sung by Tarja Turunen in a friend's car. I barely recall the name of the dude that was driving, but I clearly remember that I asked about the name of the song (and the band) and I was answered just "Nightwish". That night I ordered my first "best of" collection of Nightwish (Highest Hopes), and this song was there! This version by Floor is pure power! I could go to war by listening to this song and I would never lose a single fight :)
Hahahaha. The drummer is Jukka Nevalainen. he is beating those drums like they owe him money. He is not with Nightwish anymore. At least not in the band. But he is very much involved with them. He suffers brom bad insomnia so he couldn't continue. He was replaced by his good friend Kai Hahto. He is called the human metronome. He is also amazing. Not the same showmanship as Jukka but technical as hell. And sadly Marko left the band last year. No one knows if he will come back.
I am soooooo happy you decided to share your first times nightwish with us. I like how honest you are. And I too didn't know them yntill a few months ago. Could kick myself for that😂. Because a long time ago my sister was friends with Floor's sister. So how did I miss this...🤦♀️. Where did I go wrong😂😂😂😂😂😅 Recomendation: Nemo. From this concert. And then over to Floor's solo version life in Amsterdam from a few months ago. Acoustic and wow. I cried. So beautifull.....
Yes listen to all of Nightwish! You'll notice they came a long way. For better or soso, I love all the singer's they had because they each contributed their unique style Floor and Marko being my favorite. Nemo when Tarja sung it. The other of Nightwish's song The Phantom of the Opera, Floor performed with Henk Porte in 2019 Best Zangers. Floor won the show. ❤️ Listening to Nightwish makes it easy for me to feel in harmony anywhere I go and give me an energetic vibe for me to finish my work.
Awesome reaction fella, one thing we do tend to here a lot is 'this is my new favourite' , and that really sums up Nightwish, there music is so overwhelming that when you here a song it's hard to imagine that there can be a better one - and then you listen to another and that's your new favourite 🤘
I enjoy your reactions! One bit of advice… when you pause a video to comment, back it up a few seconds when you restart it. Thanks and good luck with your channel!
Trust me, by the time when you are far enough to make a list, you will have a crush on every single band member, even the former ones. Each and every single one of them is outstanding and that's why Nightwish was and is an unreachable league on their own, not only in symphonic metal. THAT dude is, as others have mentioned, Marko Hietala, who has unfortunately left the band last year (unexpectedly for most of the fans). He left a video on his channel about the reasons and it says everything there is to say about what is wrong with the music industry. Before he joined Nightwish as their bassist and male vocalist, he had his own band in the 80s and 90s that was VERY popular in Finland. Fun fact: Every year he was interviewed at a finnish open air festival and every year he was asked "when will you finally grow a beard?" (cause he was as beardless as a baby butt). And he never answered. Except for that one time, when he was really drunk, he said: " You know what? When Nightwish asks me to join their band, THEN i will grow a beard. Oh whatever, i will grow TWO beards!" Well, about a year later, Nightwish asked him to join their band. And he started growing his iconic double beard immediately. Another fun fact: Shortly after he joined Nightwish, he had a surgery on his vocal cords, to get some polyps removed. That was a disaster, the doc accidentally cut his vocal cord. Like, he cut through. Markos voice was gone. He had to learn to sing again, after a very long healing process. And he not only managed that (though his higher falsetto voice was gone for good) but due to that accident, his vocal cords are now out of sync which makes his voice unique and recgnizable like no one else.
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. Sorry I'm late . :) 5:20 Jukka "the drumer" is in the hous!!!! 5:29 Jukka starts the engine(double bass drum) and floor transformed to valkyrie and the light show goes on... i love the drums
Greetings again Simple Viking! Nightwish Army USA, Nebraska division checking back in. Great reaction again. I hear the same response from many reactors on their Nightwish journey: “this is now my favorite song” that is until they hear the next one. 😊 It is a normal response since they have so many amazing songs. It seems that my “favorite” song changes all the time too. I also have a goal to see them live. Hopefully they will still make it to North America this year as planned.
Marko Hietala, the bass player, is an accomplished vocalist in his own right. He sings back on may songs, duets, and even lead on some songs. He stepped away from the band about a year ago, and may or may not rejoin them. He won the Finnish version of the Masked Singer in 2020. Floor does have one of the greatest voices we’ve ever heard. “So far this is my favorite” is something you’ll probably say again. I suggest Storytime from this same Wacken show next.
Marko the bassist is also a lead vocalist. You said it my friend. This vocal is breathtakingly powerful! You nailed the Finnish pronunciation Michael. This was a single from Nightwish in 2002. Hope to see you again very soon.
Floor Jansen are from the Netherlands and are married too the drummer in Sabaton, Hannes Van Dahl. Nighwish is a symphonic metal band and originates from Finland 🇫🇮 but have members from other countries like Netherlands, Finland and UK. Band members are Floor Jansen, Kai Hahto, Erno Matti Juhani Vuorinen, Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen, Troy Donockley and Jukka Koskinen. Marko Tapani Hietala left the band 2021.
I discovered Nightwish almost 22 years ago, and I rediscovered my passion for their music 3 years ago by "accidentally" watching this Wacken 2013 concert here on RU-vid. When it comes to the question about a favourite song, there can be only one answer: "The last one I've heard."
FLOOR JANSEN has her own RU-vid CHANNEL. she even reacted too the song (ghost love score),she just talks about her singing parts. Very good, she is so down to earth, and humble. Go check it out lots of stories and cover songs she did when covid lock down was here.
I think it has been said already, yes Floor is our 6'1" Dutch Valkyrie Godess. If Gabriel has been in touch follow his suggestions on all things Nightwish, you won't go wrong. Hello from North Florida, USA.
Here are some recommendations for Nightwish: High Hopes (Pink Floyd Cover), Song of Myself (Live at Wacken), Romantide (Life at Wacken), I want my tears back (Life at Wembley), Weak Fantasy (Life at Wembley), The Islander (Live in Tampere). I would also recommend the band Orphaned Land and their song "Like Orpheus" (Official Video).
Oh boy…recommendations? All of their songs! That’s about it. Lol! Their music expands and includes many genres. Everyone in the band is a skilled professional at what they do. Tuomas is not a song writer but a composer. Floor has so many elements to her voice and abilities and she does it all with ease, power and beauty. Emppu is an amazing guitarist, Marko an incredible singer in his own right and skilled player. Both Jukka and Kai are equally brilliant on the drums. I can’t say enough positive things about NW. I have a feeling you are going to seriously enjoy your Nightwish journey. Ha en bra dag och välkomna till Nightwish!!
Hey I am Nightwish fan.I know you have a list but let me recommend: 1.The greatest show on Earth at Tampere 2015 2. Song of myself Wacken 2013 (and the whole Wacken 2013 concert) 3.Devil and the deep dark ocean-live Buenos Aires 4.The Poet and The Pendulum-Wembley 2016 5.How's The Heart (acoustic) 6.Èlan Also check the first Nightwish vocalist Tarja Turunen .I recommend: 1.Sleeping sun-live 2.Phantom of the opera-live 3.Nemo For Marko I recommend: 1.The islander-live at Tampere Welcome to the Nightwish army. And also yes they are symphonic metal band.Thank you for this reaction I love how authentic you are.🤍
I sure you already have them on your list but for sure you have to check "the poet and the pendulum" live from Wembley 2015 and "The greatest show on earth" live at Tampere to complete the holy trinity that started with "ghost love score" and i mean... this hole wacken 2013 concert is a must... arguably one of their best ones. Awesome reactions!!!
Another good reaction. Before I throw my suggestions in the ring for you to consider, could I offer a couple of pieces of (completely tongue in cheek, jokey) advice? 1) when you pause a song - especially a Nightwish song - always skip back a little before restarting. It can interrupt the flow a bit if not. I'm actually surprised you haven't been besieged by outraged Floor fans about that yet 😂 2) Like you with Nightwish, I'm very new to Sabaton (Christmas Truce was the first song I heard) but one thing I've learned quickly is never skip their videos, even just credits. It's all part of the production. 😉 As for song suggestions for Nightwish, I'd say I Want My Tears Back Live from Buenos Aires (purely for the crowd and Floor's dancing), Romanticide Live from Wäcken, The Greatest Show on Earth Live from Tampere. Then eventually, The Poet and the Pendulum live from Wembley. Some will say you need to do a lot of research before doing that one. I'd say maybe a little. Definitely Google Nightwish open letter to Tarja, then follow the rabbit hole to her reply. This song is very very personal for Tuomas the keyboard player and pretty much sole writer of all their music. Keep up the good work.
If done with the keyboard - "J" will jump back 10 seconds, "L" will jump forward 10 seconds. For smaller jumps - Left Arrow jump back 5 seconds, Right arrow jump forward 5 seconds. The "K" toggles Play/Pause. Up arrow increase volume 5%, Down arrow decrease volume 5%. "M" = Mute. "F" = Go to Full screen, or when in Full screen back to normal (default size). I never use the mouse on RU-vid, always the keyboard keys. Much more exact. / B.
Welcome to the Nightwish family. Every song is a new experience. I hope that you will continue this journey, it’s a wonderful and beautiful one. One song that doesn’t get much attention is Sahara. There is a live version from the Tampa concert. Greetings from Alabama 😎
Floor Jansen just finished a solo tour in the Netherlands with the band she sang with in the Dutch TV programme "Beste Zangers 2019" where she showed the Dutch what she could do. All on YT, complete episodes with subtitles and song by song.
Marko Hietala "The Viking" is a Finnish heavy metal vocalist, bassist and songwriter (sadly not part of the band now, but there is hope, that he will come back). Internationally, best known as the former bassist, male vocalist and secondary composer to Tuomas Holopainen, of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He was also the vocalist and bassist as well as composer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot. He was also a member of the supergroup Northern Kings, and portrayed one of the main characters in Ayreon's 2013 album The Theory of Everything. This song was actually a little bit of a challenge for Floor but, this is Floor Jansen ladies and gentlemen !!! Keep them coming.... Nightwish Shadow Unit From Estonia is intrigued 🤘😎🤘 .
I'm a country boy who listens to primarily country music, but Ive been listening to Nightiwish since the 90's. It blows my mind when yall Scandinavians havent heard of the best band on the planet. Welcome though brother. Nightwish is my guilty pleasure and I dont care who knows, ;)
I only recently came to Nightwish too..... they are sooooo good. Floor has blown me away too. I would put on your list..... The Greatest Show on Earth (a true masterpiece), Storytime, Song of Myself, Shoemaker is amazing song, Elan, The Islander, Kiss while your lips are still Red (Marko's finest singing), The Poet and the Pendulum, Music, to list a few. Also it's worth researching some of these songs as they have great deeper meanings like Shoemaker and Greatest Show on Earth... I feel exactly as you do about them. 😄🤘
Our boy is in love 🤣 I turned this concert on once for background music while I studied. I had never listened to Nightwish before, and it ruined my study session, as I instead found myself slack-jawed and hypnotized by this raven-haired goddess. Who was she? What sorcery was this? Seen them twice since =) Both times, magical. Unlike any other band. I will miss Marko dearly.
Marko Hietala was a member of Tarot, a rock band very successful in the 80s in Finland. It's definitely worth checking out. Now you can stick to Wacken, no matter which song you pick, every single one will be your next favourite. Later I would recommend checking Wembley, they perform new songs written for Floor and her vocals. Here in Wacken she is performing songs written for Anette, the previous singer, and older ones from Tarja era.
My friend I am having a great time watching these with you. New subscriber. Nightwish first caught my ear with Amaranth on the Bloodrayne soundtrack and Nemo got a touch of airplay on the radio a long time ago. Interestingly different singers on those two.I stopped listening for a while but have been absolutely hooked since I first heard Floor. She is 1 of 1. Covid permitting I will see them here in Colorado in a few months. For a great example of what Marko can check out The Islander , Ghost River or best of all High Hopes- a Pink Floyd tribute. He has some great stuff with other bands out there as well. Cheers!
I love watching your journey so far. Your enthusiasm has been felt by everyone in the Nightwish Army. As many of us have said, the Nightwish song I'm listening to is my favorite one. May I make a suggestion... when you pause, rewind back a little so that wherever you stopped can be heard again. I know you don't know the songs, so there are times you may stop in "the wrong place". This will give you the opportunity to rehear the full section. You will be on your Nightwish journey for a bit, but I would also recommend another symphonic metal band, Epica. The feel of that band is similar to Nightwish with a bit darker edge and their singer is on par with Floor. There is a song of theirs called Sancta Terra where Floor is a guest singer. It's a great gateway into their music from here.
Every song in this set is killer! That is Marco. He left the band in Jan 2021. The bass player they have now, Jukka doesn't sing. This drummer ironically named Jukka in 2015. Kai's been on drums since. Floor and Troy are the singers. 82,000 here this night!
Its Concerts like this that proves my point of why Music should be heard live, I mean its live where you hear how good a Band really is, without the "stuido magic" that some Singers take advantage of (no mentioned, no one forgotten). I like to compare it to, going to a football game, sure you can sit at home and have a lovely time with your chips and Beers, but the atmosphere is just different when you are there with 40.000+ of your "Closest friends" singing/chanting together. The talking/singing before and after the event you'll never be able to recreate that in your living room.
Hey , Viking ( you’re from the Netherlands?). It’s always nice to watch a young, blond, growling Floor in her former band Revamp with the song Disdain. That’s the reason Thomas Holopainen, the ‘boss’ and organplayer, choose for Floor singing in Nightwish in 2012. About that there is a great documentary called..’ Please learn the setwinst in 48 hours ( order for Floor Jansen)…so she did , the rest is history. Greetings from the Netherlands.
wacken 2013 was sick. and this concert especially. floor jansen restored nightwish for me. reborn. anew. you HAVE to watch them live. the fanbase is such a beautiful bunch, just like this band. skilled, powerful, authentic and humble. nightwish, wacken 2013 was one of the best experiences of my entire life. thank you for that and everything your music does for the world.
Oha, it's nice to see you react. I can recommend actually every Song from this unbelievable Concert. But If IT comes to certain Songs, "Storytime", "song of myself". It was one of the earliest Concert Nightwish gave with her after the depart of Anette Olzob, the Former Singer. And at that time she was even Not declared an official bandmember. Another legendäre Concert ist the final of the worldtour 2015 in Tampere, a town in Nightwish homecountry. One of my alleine favourite Songs there ist " the Isländer" and "The greatest Show in earth". Havea great time in this Journey!
It's so exciting to watch you enjoy them as much as we do..there is a list a mile long of songs that you absolutely will love by them some of which require a little backstory, mainly poet and the pendulum, gotta know the story before you hear that one and definitely listen with lyrics.aside from that, the greatest show on earth is a must live at Tampere. shoemaker, music, noise, tribal,Pan off the new album, and to experience floorand marcos true range, you'll want to hear shudder before the beautiful, the islander, kiss while my lips are still red, and yours is an empty hope at Wembley. And I still probably didn't cover all of the good ones. This entire wacken concert is a must.please enjoy!
This is one of my favourites by Nightwish and Floor. Even my 20 month old son loves this song and always smiling and dancing when hearing it. We both get that Floorgasm every time!
Hello from the Netherlands . our Dutch Floor Jansen also did an Acoustic version of Ever Dream Live in Amsterdam. and of course she also did more covers during corona measures in her home studio, including Acoustic : Alone from Heart . I think the next Nightwish song should be : Yours is an Empty hope live at Wembley arina 2015 . there's going to be a big surprise for you, I think something YOU won't expect from Floor!
We feel you brother......and btw...welcome to the Army 🙂 Floor's voice just grabs you. Resistance is futile. Everyone falls in love with her. Gay, straight, human, cat, marsian.... It becomes an obsession. She is a force of nature. Don't say we didn't warn you! If you want to hear more from Marco - Ghost River from Wacken 2013 is the tune you have to listen to...before we switch to the heavier stuff...wait till you hear our Queen growl... Do the complete Wacken 2013 concert....I will watch it again for the 621st time.....Welcome to the Rabbithole ! All Hail Queen Floor !
Jo Bro. You absolutely have to see the Song of the Poed and the Pendulum from this concert. It's so emotional and deep that tears come to your eyes. But please watch it from start to finish without a break so you can fully absorb the emotions... And don't forget the reaction video. I look forward to your reaction!🤘🏼🔥
I know if nothing comes in between. Then they are in Finland. 29 January in Helsinki 30 January in Tampere In Sweden, I don't know. Greetings from the Netherlands.
You want suggestions? Floor Jansen& henk poort; Phantom of the Opera (beste zangers), Sabaton; Ghost division, Panzer Battalion, Art of War, Screaming Eagles, Carolus Rex (both english and swedish) Nightwish; Phantom of the opera with Tarja. As for other epic history stuff. Iron Maiden; Paschendale, The Trooper, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, Hallowed be thy Name. Try live version for all of maiden stuff. As for Rammstein; Du Hast (live in paris), Mein Hertz Brennt. Having said that. Love the reactions so far very genuine, emotional ones. Keep em coming!
Just found your reactions and have been enjoying them. If you want to branch out a little more, I would highly recommend checking out Babymetal - I think they'll be right up your alley. Start with Rondo of Nightmare live at Budokan Black Night or Headbanger live at Legend 1997.
Honestly i do have such a big crush on Floor too. I also have a crush on Tarja (Nightwish first vocalist). I've been to Nightwish concert one so far and it was something beyond amazing! I actually listened to them 10 years before my first concert of them and i fuckin' wish i could've seen them way way before and now I have two tickets for their tour and probably will buy two more because their concerts are an EXPERIENCE! So yes, if you can go and see them!
that is Floor...this song was originally done with Tarja as the main singer who has a more operatic voice if you want to listen to the Century Child album (where this was originally recorded) or Once (Nemo is an excellent single) and Anette Olzen originally sang on the Imaginaerum album (just to check out the different voices that attributed to this band over the years)
She probably is the best metal singer around, and she is a schooled singer. I took a singing class for her in Gothenburg a few years back..Ive never been so afraid!..but shes such a great person/teacher so it was a fantastic experience. She now lives outside of Gothenburg with her husband Hannes from Sabaton. You could also check out some of her solo stuff. This is one of my favourites from a dutch tv-show from 2019 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lcLG5X1i2QM.html
One very underrated and great Nightwish song from Anette era: Escapist. Pretty much any song from Tampere 2015 is worth of checking out. Last Ride of the Day(Wacken or Tampere) Dark Chest of Wonders(Tampere) Music (official lyric video) To name a couple nice song after the most requested big ones like The Poet and the Pendulum(Wembley) and The Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere)
if no one has mentioned it, Floor stands 6 feet, 1.5 inches tall in bare feet; and she's wearing 5 inch heels here...this entire show is on You Tube under the title of "Showtime, Storytime" I do have ALL of their concert DVD's
Marko has been around since 1983ish. His first band was called Tarot. You should react to him singing High Hopes, Whe your lips are still red,The Islander. Wings of Darkness from 1986. Floor has a side project called Northward and it's a rock album.
This is early in her career with Nightwish (only 10 months) and already sings every one of these songs as if written for her although none of the 15 were.
