The biggest downside of teaching for me is having to bring work home. I am in highschool& I'm new to it. I am married with no kids but it is still absorbing all my time.

I know sometimes it just happens, but it shouldn’t be a regular thing! Sometimes I even have students grade their own paper/assignment and go over it as a class. Then when I do have to do grades it’s more of just inputting and not physically grading everything. I teach middle school and I have two preps everyday but one is also a meeting lol

It's completely Normal! I have been teaching for 26 years kindergarten. I have four teenagers. 25 down to 10. And a puppy. I work hard and play hard. I only answer emails during school days not on weekends. You will learn to get some things done during the day. It definitely took me many years to learn I need me time to stay well mentally and physically. ❤🎉
