Love chimps. Smart, entertaining, hilarious, sneaky, and ornery! Little devils LOL I like it when he's cleaning the shower time and I love it when he steals the burrito. He was hungry and the fridge was TOTALLY EMPTY except the burrito. What's the little thing suppose to do and if you own a chimp WHY isn't the fridge full of fresh fruits, veggies and things to drink. That concerns me. Anyway. Totally love the video!!!💖🐒💞
He's so lucky that you're teaching him about skateboards, wild chimps do a lot of boardin in the jungle, put half pipes all over. National Geographic did a story on it. Called "Rad chimps of the rain forest". Keep up the good work slick

I’d like to know why this baby is living in a house doing human things? They do not belong as a pet or in your home. I’d love to have one but I know it is not fair to them. Your depriving him of being a chimp.
Libani was born with pneumonia . Almost certainly he aspirated amniotic fluid or meconium during his birth. Soon after birth he would have had some respiratory distress and diagnosed with the pneumonia. If not for modern veterinary medicines intervention, and a devoted 24/7 hand rearing staff, Libani would not have survived. As often happens, when a baby chimp has to be separated from his mum , they are rejected when attempts are made to reintroduce the infant to mom. Had it been in the wild, he would have died, and we wouldn’t have known his story. There are a few long term carers in the US experienced with hand raising of exotic animals. It was a husband and wife in Florida with the experience that raise him. So that he could then begin his life with other chimps, as an ambassador that can teach the importance of conservation . Chimps are on the endangered species list and have been for a very long time. Lima is life is dedicated to stopping the unnecessary habitat loss, and human encroachment on wild habitat as well as poaching has led the chimpanzee racing towards extinction ....forever....

It is odd to read the channel’s responses to comments calling out the fact that chimpanzees are not to be pets, should he in the wild, with their own kind or in a rehabilitation center. If you agree with all these things, why do you keep him? 🤦♂️ Regardless, when he hits puberty, the cuteness ends.
I agree with you, they are friends, not pets, I know how dangerous they are in their natural world, but when they are here, they are very friendly and funny.

My husband's grandmother had a baby chimp many years ago back in the 1960s and she would let him outside in his cage but one day a young boy came into her yard and was poking the chimp with a stick and the chimp bit him. She had to get rid of him after that. My husband said he destroyed her curtains by climbing on them and running through the house.Whoever had him before could no longer keep him and just gave him to her free.I hope he was taken somewhere safe.We have inherited her house and I'm going to search through pictures to see if she has any of him.
Excuse me, but I wasn’t fond of the gentleman’s response (or his tone of voice) to him eating the burrito. Something like “go ahead and eat the burrito and slobber all over it” Very instructive, education, and “caring” commitment. I do understand that the baby raided the refrigerator on his own. But that is not a excuse for ignorance comments. Also earlier the S--t word was heard plainly. I didn’t see any training or education for baby. This whole video might been better if there was a narrator explaining what was being seen. I did not see any love or human contact, sad. Again, this is my opinion only!!! Not trying to change anyone’s opinion!
Could someone explain to me how is it possible to have a pet chimp? They're illegal in all of the civilised countries in the world as far as I know, and you cannot just buy one on eBay. And yet I see so many videos of people having a baby pet chimp and sharing videos with them on-line 🤔😵.
Will all due respect of course, but I am curious how all these chimps and primates are punished or reprimanded when they act out? we see all the funny cute times but of course with their training there is plenty of bad times they act out, dont follow rules, fight, etc. Im not putting anyone down so please dont take it that say, its simply curiosity. It also could be a great tool to help others who may own or think about getting any sort of primate.
The problem is humans think they can just have what they want & think they are powerful to keep whatever they want but this should be over no more keeping intelligent animals very 😞
