I wasn't raised christian... I would like to learn about God and be able to teach my daughters. I just ordered masterbooks curriculum, can you recommend a beginer bible for them. They are 3rd and 4th grade. And would this be a good resource to help us on our journey or is there something else you would recommend? Im a bit overwhelmed. Thanks! Love your videos!
K&S Kelly I would use the NIRV Adventure Bible as a great starting Bible. I might also get a Bible study to do together. Some ideas to choose from: Sound Words for Kids: Lessons in Theology or the James Family Bible Study, both available in my store (proverbialhomemakerstore.com), Bible Road Trip, or Kay Arthur studies for kids. Some great studies for moms that you could also share with your kids are Busy Mama Bible Studies by Doorposts and any studies by Jen Wilkin. If all that overwhelms you, start simple! Just read a little with them every day, and talk and pray together about it. When a habit of daily study and devotion is established, you can always pull in other Bible resources if you want to.
