Yes, most private schools are. This has both positives and negatives. As an international school teacher I had access to better materials and resources for my classroom, but the admin and parents were much more demanding. Class sizes are generally smaller in international schools as well.

For more competitive locations, typically they will look for more teaching experience, but it really depends on what the openings are as well. I recommend connecting with Search and participating in a job fair if you can!
