Jesus, there's really only one deck in historic. LVD said the same thing literally on every game. "Torpor orb is really good at shutting down Guide of Souls. They're not playing Lurrus so they might have a Phlage of their own" I don't have an issue with LVD saying that. I have an issue with metagame lol
I don't like energy. The concept is good, but you just get so much of it on every card that its barely a factor whether you have a lot or none for most cards
If Legenvd was born a couple of centuries ago we would be a savant scholar discovering planets and stuff, but he's here creating monsters to destroy the meta game 🤷
Legend says he usually plays Bo1 because it provides more diversity is showcasing different matchups. Looks like for historic, Bo3 may be better for that purpose.
No kidding, this meta is pathetic. I don’t know how people won’t get bored playing against the exact same cards all the time. Awesome deck by LVD though
Shame there's no black/white Elder Giants like Phlage or Uro. I think the increments of 3 are very interesting. Gain 3 life, draw. 3 damage, 3 life. 3 damage, discard. What else could Wizards do with that, I wonder?
I think realistically if we go back to Theros. The Orzhov Titan has to make sense. But the last giant we know is Skotha. Who is the Titan of Endless night.
Would love a Blue/Red elder giant, if only for the synergy with the Izzet giants from Kaldheim. Maybe it could be like an Expressive Iteration on a stick. Look at the top 3 cards, put one in hand, one on the bottom, and exile the other, which may be played that turn.
If that's the reason, then Uro is color break White = 3 Life Blue = Draw 1 Black = Discard 1 Red = 3 Damage Green = Play a land. Uro is UG, yet it also gets "gain 3 life" part from White.
I remember when you first had thos archetype idea with negating Kroxa's etb to swing in with haste! This is an awesome upgrade and I definitely will be trying this deck out myself! Appreciate you tons!!! 🤘
Wow, MH3 really ruined Arena formats. Nadu and Tamiyo for Brawl, Scam in Timeless and now Boros energy in Historic. As a F2P player, Standard eats too many wildcards to invest in the format so I guess I'll be taking a break from MTG until something changes.
I couldn't go to Amsterdam, but I had to go to a big online company meeting before the weekend, where one of the participants was none other than our Amsterdam office... Couldn't help but feel like the universe was taunting me
Amazing Deck. Dear Legend you showed once the fight rigging to shakedown heavy deck and im still loving it. isnt this a good upgrade to make something funny? i would love it :)
@@LegenVD For anyone fretting over the loss, Collector's Cage is similar and activates at instant speed. I made a Moonshaker deck a while ago, I'm sure there will be some crazy stuff you can do in future. I might try something which can counter a large spell e.g. Hurl into History or surprise Sheoldred when they draw.
Wait, what if you had final showdown to scam in the giants? Lose the etb, but get a 6/6 and attack triggers next turn and can escape later if answered.
Matchmaking in ranked doesn't take deck type or power into account, only MMR. Since Legend has quite a good win % overall it's facing him against the high MMR sweaty meta players who are trying to rank up, and they're ALL running boros energy. This is the current sad state of the historic meta. Expect guide to be banned/alchemy nerfed very soon, or one of the support cards like galvanic discharge.
First, we face energy souls, then, we face energy souls, next, energy souls, the game after, energy souls. Finally, for something different, energy souls is our opponent's deck. Either arena designated you as the one to punish these players, or everyone is playing one deck only...
I am absolutely baffled by the absurd flavor fail that is Ajani transforming when you play a second copy. Throwing cats into the bombardment was already a stretch in terms of emulating his tragic backstory, but that's just ridiculous. Genuinely surprised that the trigger isn't "is destroyed" rather than "dies", which would have solved both problems without much extra text.
