I just noticed something about fighting this guy in the Major Circuit. It seems that the Contender Minor, Major, and World circuits make the opponent take more damage from Star Punches than Title Defense's World B, A, and S. I knew they took less Star Punch damage in Title Defense, but I didn't know it was the Title Defense circuits that caused it.
I think it is not "Circuit" based tho. I've seen a video about the debug mode where you can fight Contender Mac vs Title Defense Mac and I think it has to do something with Little Mac's attire. Little Mac with the Title Defense skin deals less damage by star punches, heals less from chocolate bars and can only go down 2 times before getting KO'd.
I think Sandman messes with the minor circuit when I change the value. And if you're talking about Contender Glass Joe I can make him the World Champ I think.
@Gate_Captain_DW4 I wanted to let you know that the reason the wii runs so hard for this game is because it runs in 60fps so idk what's happening with sandman maybe he just doesn't fit right with the location code or something like that and BTW HOW DID TD GLASS JOE GET TO THE WORLD IN THE FIRST PLACE!?
No, he just seems to screw up the textures. The game runs just fine (Im emulating it) Also, Little Mac is the World Champ by that point, Joe challenged him.
Boy I sure do remember the days when Little Mac was actually a beloved icon of gaming boxing instead of a weak loser nobody all because of a crossover game leaning into the fact that he is an underdog and his games are hard... but yet it doesn't stop you from doing this in his games and it makes him look unironically stronger than freaken Goku! For real I wish he got his respect back. I would literally trade armor for combos and safety with more aerial mobility and actually working dodges that doesn't have misplaced animation exposure and missing I-frames. He is and will always be my number 1. 🥊
Lil Mac is like "You know, i could just destroy you in a single round, but no... That would be boring... Get ready for an agonizing, brutal and long defeat as i prolong your humiliating FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE"
I like how throwing a star punch into the dreamland express nets you a lot of knockdown time (8 seconds the first time, 9 seconds the second time). The opportunity to heal a lot is a nice reward for pulling such a risky play. Plus, when he's down for so long makes you feel like you really got him, especially since a normal knockdown the first time is usually clocks around the 3 count. They really pulled out the stops to make everything about fighting this guy dramatic and climactic through the mechanics. On another detail, it seems like you really know your way around this fight, and I've never seen anyone try to block Sandman's jabs. Do you know if it's possible, or is dodging/countering the only ways to deal with them?
