This tutorial will show you the necessary steps to teach your dog how to spin backwards around your legs. The main goal when doing this trick is to go slow and train in baby steps. www.Moderncaninetraining.com / moderncaninetraining
YOU ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! sry but caps isn't enough for how great your vids are :) been watching since before i got my Kelpie a few weeks ago training is going great! xoxoxo
Omg thank you,my dog is now getting to know this trick on her own lol my service dog will now use this to alert me when I walk backwards for my seizure that happens 😅😊
My dog refused to back up so I pulled the bed a foot or so away from the wall and tried the same method here but so it would be in a restricted space so she couldn't move sideways. And it worked!!
When I try and train my dog (Buster) outside, weather it be in our back garden or our local park, he doesn't pay me any attention, he's always distracted and gets bored really easily. I do train him in our front room but some of the tricks I want to teach him I can't, cause the lack of space. Please if you have any advise for me please, PLEASE tell me, I'll try anything. P.S. love your videos, you and your dogs are amazing.
I'm going to a dog show in 3 days and I'm going to teach my dog how to do this for the "best trick" class and lets hope I'll win or get second place ! 🐶🥇🥈🥉
Hello o/. I have a Lab and a Border Collie, both puppies, and i'm having a bit of a hard time getting them to fetch their ball. The Lab chase it, grab it,come to me but just don't let the ball go,and if i try to reach for the ball, she runs away to the grass and secure the ball between her paws. The B.C. chase the ball, grab it, "pretend" to come to me then turn around and start running with thhe ball as if she was saying "want the ball? come and get it". How can i teach them to give the ball to me?
The clicker helps the dog understand what the owner wants it to do. Every time it does something the owner wants, it hears a click, so it knows that whatever it was doing at that moment was what the owner wanted it to be doing
My dog is really smart and already knows a whole bunch of things, but I can't teach him to back up. When I try to lure him back, he sits down. If I put the treat lower, he rolls over. I can tell that he is confused. Does anybody have any tips?
if he sits, just keep pushing the treat towards his chest, lightly and slowly, this should trigger him to getup and back up a bit. I would also click BEFORE the dog sits. It's probably just used to a treat comes out and you've asked him to sit.
+Kristina my dog decided to lie down and sit instead so what I did was lure the dog between my legs and to look at me she would back up. If she decided to go trough my legs instead the next time she stuck her head through my legs I walked forward and she backed up to see me. I use the command "beep" I also shake my finger back to command it :) hope this helped
+Keepupcollies Thanks! He figured out that I want him to back up. Now I'm just trying to teach him the rest of the trick. However, he got stung by a bee, so he will take a break for a week or so.
I wabt to answer this and say any dog is able to be trained but some take longer but an Australian cattle dog is the 10th smartest breed of dog in the world.
You could all so step in front of them if they try climb on you when they do that don’t reward step in front of them again if the back up without climbing reward that’s how I got my dog to stop climbing
