Luna Vermillion She obviously improved and did well as a center in this. She has the stage presence and is eye catching even though she isnt the best out of the 109 girls. Everyone is always commenting how she is unsuitable or not as good as others. Stop being so salty,. Give her a break...

Update- It seems like you fans are too immersed and gloated in the pleasure of these rare praises of your idol to realize what Ella said at the end of her performance. The key factor as to why the opposing team won over her team was the fact of how well their lead vocal sang in an effort of harmonizing her and her members which overall enhanced the entirety of the performance. To give a bit of context as to why Esther Yu's team underperformed despite having just as great or even greater of a vocal girl on their team, it was due to the instability of Esther Yu in the effort of attempting her first simultaneous task of dancing and singing as the center which she so eagerly seeks for, the vocal girl couldn't showcase her vocal as it would disrupt the flow and tone of the song. Now, the weakness of Esther Yu that led to the nullification of the strength of her member now became the greater supporting case of the victory of the opposing team. Am I right of that claim?

She made it to the top 20, so she was not underrated. Unlike other survival shows, top vocalists were not guaranteed a final spot in YWY2. In fact, all the best vocalists were eliminated.

Same! I know Esther is an actress and has a big following already unlike the other trainees so it wasn't a surprise that she got a lot of votes. But this 2nd round, Esther is showing how worthy she is of those votes and that she too is talented and passionate. I love seeing the growth her growth and seeing the other girls challenging themselves.

People giving her a hard time when she can pull herself just fine... she knows she isn't that good, but she continuosly strives to be better and we can see the results... Esther Yu is like Sohye (in produce101) an actress who doesn't have basic dancing and singing skills but always shows unexpected charms (and they get eventually become decent singers and dancers - okay for an idol group) But ugh, this is unrelated but one of the Rocket Girls (PD101 china debut group) even after a year of debut, is still very bad in basic skills...

the improved ones were Hana Lin and Joey Chua because they tried something spiced and they even went out on their shells but on the previous contest of youth with you s2, Esther always goes to sweet/attractive/lovely songs. I also appreciate Shaking, An Qi and Xin Liu for choosing other songs and went out on their shell to try different type. Esther improved but if she keeps on doing the same routine in choosing songs, I bet she can't make it to top 9. She was only chosen as Top 1 just because of the votes. But. if we talk about performance and will be ask if who are the Top 9 most outstanding trainees of youth with you Season 2, Esther is not on my list.

Lu zhang and mheddi from team B had great voice and combination, I almost cried but i cant cause theres someone in my room. TEAM B IS MORE EMOTIONAL. as you can see there are some trainees who cried and compliment them more, the coaches also compliment them more than TEAM A thats why they LOSEE

PP Lalin yeah, if I were to compare I liked Esther yu, shaking the best while on the other group I liked xiaotang, meddhi. But because the song required lots of vocals and team B overall vocal performances was better they won.

Shaking's vocals was good but unfortunately its too shaky even too my liking, no pun intended.
