The king of fighters teams dont really matter there are no assists it really dependa on skill

@dazzlingbot7550 Teams definitely matter, they just don't synergize. Funny enough kof did experiment with tags and assists back in the day but it didn't really stick. Hopefully someday we'll see a capcom vs snk tag game

What's crazy is that they picked a character that I am already strong with (Z Broly) and helped me center a team around him using SSJ Vegeta and they also helped introduce me to Piccolo who helps a lot with midscreen and even corner pressure. Great guide, thanks :)

piccolo on point seems very suboptimal... i think the goal should be to dhc into him for good oki while having his a assist for your point character.

Fwiw, he did mention a Broly-on-point variant of the team as well, with both variants providing different playstyles and win conditions (Point Piccolo being aggressive to get a lead then leveraging the advantage to choke out the victory from there, Point Broly essentially playing very reserved and safe all game to win). Also, while I and surely many others agree with you, Piccolo doesn't necessarily **need** meter to mix. Hellzone mix is a hell of a thing, but having a two-hitting jM, a fast low 2L, left-right mix with the 236X with built-in same-side mix from 236H (with the option holding the button to further amplify the mixups when backed up by assists), 5S and 8S for sneaky grabs, and 236S on wakeup after a sliding/hard knockdown means he can get the job done. As you say, he's almost certainly better (and definitely more potent) when someone with better neutral both builds meter and provides an opening for him to come in and capitalize with the aforementioned blender options, but he isn't without merit on point. I think we can all agree to keep him off of anchor position, though, lol.

I'm currently running Base Vegeta (A) on Point and Hit (A) on Mid, but for my Anchor I'm struggling to decide between Janemba (A), Baseku (A) and SSJ Goku (A). I feel like Baseku offers the best assist to this team, but the fact that it's difficult to combo into Spirit Bomb with Vegeta (without DHC'ing Hit in first) is kind of an issue. SSJ Goku's beam assist really helps the other two as well, but the fact that he lacks any kind of element of surprise in his kit (not much mix other than universal options, or a command grab, unlike the other two). Janemba solves both of those problems, but his assist doesn't give 'true' blockstun cuz you can always superdash through it.

Vegeta/X/Janemba (shanks puts Cell mid) is pretty damn good, and X/Hit/Janemba is too , so Vegeta/Hit/Janemba should be strong.

I have a question for players better than me. When making a team, aside from assist synergy, what about gameplan synergy? I noticed that top players have teams that all contribute to the same thing, while sometimes having an odd one out if the team really needs it. I saw this on teams like: Gogeta/Vegito/LC21(they all have good pressure and are hyper aggressive) Gogeta/Vegito/A17(17 is the odd one out but has an assist that contributes a lot to pressure and aggression) Base Vegeta/Cell/Janemba(they all have insane Lv3 mix) Blue Goku/Kefla/Beerus(I don’t understand this one myself but I know they all have insane pressure) Is this how I’m supposed to make teams? Thanks for reading all that.

As a Majin rank. My first option on characters is how much i like them and how good am i with them. Then when you have a base team you can root out to all the others. I started with c16 then nappa and Z broly. (Right now i main celland piccolo) Now i swapped them out and only time to time use one off them when i want to climb. For asist i use the rule of cool. For example if you do the Z broly auto combo when he about to grab and launch them you can use blue vegita big bang atack to lock them down broly just throw inside the big bang animation it looks great! For cell i prefer him as second guy and use his third asist. Its not just awesome anti air but realy easy to combo too! I pair him up with picolo C asist. Because its a diagonal swip and cover the screen. I love to do the telekinetic grab with cell into picolo asist then continnue my combos.

I did this a well I was like ok what I want in a team Low 2L have level 1 and 3 that's air ok Ok assist Then I got Bardock U.i and tien Can do all of that and can turn a level 1to level 2 and great auto combos too lol

8:10 this is not a good idea since you can avoid the beam with the right air tech. if you have half a bar you should always spend that or dhc into an assist character for the sliding kd.

This is just because Vegeta and Beerus B assist can extend Hit combos from anti-airs (2H > 236M ~ 2L > A1 > 5LLL > 236L ~ L > A2 > 5LLL) or corner hits ( [5LLL > 236L ~ S > 5LLL] x3 > 5LLL > 236L ~ L > A1 > 5LLL > 236L ~ L > A2 > 5LLL > 236L ~ M) I gotta admit is not a very thought-out team-

While I think the script is very good, being thorough enough to send across the fundamental ideas of teambuilding while still being compact and digestible, the footage is AWFUL. I'm sorry to say this, but whenever there wasn't tournament footage on screen, the person trying to showcase what the script was talking about very often had no idea what they were doing. No combos, no okizeme, they didn't even bother to set the dummy to block in order to showcase pressure. I think the video works well enough if you just listen to it, the script works very well. But the accompanying footage is downright detrimental, it actively confuses people who try to follow both the voice and video. I hope you can improve on this front for future videos.
