I have to agree with you and the divide is actually caused by Zverev, Medvedev. Note that all the other players lovely but those two especially Zverev really nasty and arrogant.
11:57 was one of the highlights of this press conference for me. The way Sascha and Daniil lit up when there was a question for Rublev 😂 I'm super excited for the Laver Cup. Go Team Europe~
I like how they barely answer the actual questions and just vaguely talk about the topic, probably forgetting what the actual question was mid way lmao
Most definitely! He never speaks bad about other players, never breaks anyone else down. If he loses he loses if he wins he wins end of story! Andy Murray needs to take a lesson here in true class! Rublev is still so young but a true sportsman and just absolutely so lovely!
@@lgal7289 Murray's frustration was not unwarranted. Tsitsipas cannot just go to the toilet for 10 minutes possibly with his phone and expect no backlash. His father has been caught giving him advice numerous times already before during midmatch.
@@xXXArchangellXXx I can understand Murray getting frustrated but he went on and on about it then continued on social media. Nasty and unprofessional!!
Stefanos and Andrey by far the most effervescent and pure in thought and mind! Absolutely lovely and untainted. Rublev especially never heard him say a bad word or slight any other tennis player ever. Whether he wins or loses he is gracious in both and a class act! It’s more than just tennis! Andy Murray needs to really look at these younger players even though he is older as they are actually putting him to shame! Lack of class and his crown slipping for the world to see - instead of taking defeat in his stride he groped at bathroom breaks and he just lost to Hurkasz so would like to hear what Hurkasz did wrong instead of just admitting that he is a waste of space! Swearing on court and shouting at his team on court not very classy at all but expected from a grown up baby!
English is Stefanos' second language, and even I (who, for me, English is my first language) thought the guy said "BOX". It wasn't until Stefanos said "BUCKS" that I understood.
Same! And the interviewer seemed really rude about it - "what did you think i said?"... Box dude, it 100% sounded like box. Poor Stef always seems to have these misunderstandings in interviews and end up feeling embarrassed.
Really rooting for Tsitsipas this weekend. He's shown such character and grace in the midst of cruel and nasty trash talking against him lately -- and he's not said a single bad word about anyone. What a beautiful soul and I hope he rises above all of this and grows stronger as a result. Looking forward to more of his beautiful tennis and bravo Stefanos!
He really does not have anybody to blame but himself for the "cruel and nasty trash talking against him lately". But good to see that he seems to have put that behind and is moving ahead.
Someone on here replied that Tsitsipas had his phone with him in the bathroom? Did both you and Zverev see him use his phone or are you speculating that he used his phone? Even Zverev back paddled after his accusation as he understands that the law requires actual proof? Apparently Tsitsipas left his phone charging in his hotel room and this can be verified by tracking and location? The fact that Zverev decided to stop and say he doesn’t want to comment any further during a press conference could mean that he realised he was as wrong and falsely accused Tsitsipas of cheating when in actual fact phone records etc could and possibly have been pulled? One needs to be careful - you DONT know if this is true and the law states clearly - have you seen it with your own eyes? Were you present when Tsitsipas took out a phone and sent the texts?
Not impressed with Medvedev and Zverev’s attitude last night during Stef’s match, on their phones and ignoring pretty much the whole match and acted like they were bored? Rublev I think influenced by the 2 of them but not as rude towards Stefanos? Well done to Berrettini, Ruud and Lopez who have a mind of their own (and manners) by supporting and paying attention to what was happening on the court. Being jealous and showing it openly for the world to see disgraceful - Daniil and Alexander should be ashamed of themselves honestly!!!!
How sad, the journalist who asked Stef about Giannis Antetokounmpo and the stadium... was just quite rude tho. It's not everyone who speaks English as their second language are familiar with, or quick enough to recognize the British accent and American accent...
Exactly well said, all people out there born with English as their first language just simply expect everyone else to speak and understand at their speed and level quickly, such arrogance and well.....sadly for them, most ONLY have English in their language bag!
yes! I wish these players would call them out man to man. these weak men think wearing a journalism badge means they can speak to these strong men how they would never otherwise
For one, Goodall, who I think is a smartass, did not pronounce his name properly. Secondly Giannis plays In Milwaukee and not Boston, so it was an irreverent question in the first place. And lastly Stef may have not heard him clearly. I don’t think it had anything to do with accents.
That wasn’t cool to call out Casper Rudd like that! It’s a great opportunity for him! It was Borg’s choice so what! Andrey can be adorable 🤗. I noticed the seating arrangement with Tsitsipas way on the other side of Medvedev and Zverev hahaha.
@@anustart-loveeachother7680 Sure, at 13:50 the journalist says it was “surprise” that Ruud was chosen for the team, like why would it be so? He’s a top ten player now, he’s won multiple titles this year already, so why not have him on the team? I thought that was an insult to Casper.
@@707ladytee I am pretty sure the reporter asking that questions is actually from Norway and he didnt mean it in a rude way. He said «before the season started not many would have thought he would play here», cause before the season started Casper was #27 or something in the world…so in some way it was in fact credit to Casper for reaching top 10 that fast and he wanted to hear what Bjørn B thought about it.
so much world class talent ffs . looks like soviet chess olympiad team from the 60s with so many chess world champions in one team . 4 russian origin players in medvedev ,zverev, rublev and tsitsipas . when russia delivers talent in a sport ,it delivers in bulks
kinda dissapointed there was no question about roger like its his event and its the first time hes not playing and we know he brought the most points each time so expected at least one question about him and maybe rafa
I don't think they would cuz it might be a bit disrespectful towards the players here since Roger nor Rafa are actually playing and so it might end up being a bit offensive
I think it's good that they kept the focus on the guys. If this is going to be part of Roger's legacy it's important it can survive without him being there or being involved so great they give the guys the full attention they deserve.
I think it's good that the focus is not always on the same BIG GUYS, honestly, even though Roger Rafe and Nole are giants of the game, they certainly don't deserve the spotlight constantly, especially when not even there, would have been a little disrespectful for the PRESENT guys, and...FUTURES of the game :)
As a hearing impaired tennis fan, I'm disappointed that the European team all have masks on as I can't read their lips and there are no captions. The World team had worse results, but better team spirit and clear faces so I could read their lips and know what they were saying.
I actually don’t? He is another bully full of attitude who is openly salty and jealous of Stef. Also uses Medvedev and Rublev to divide the team and as his side kicks. There is a lot of infighting and ganging up. So on and off court he needs to man up and grow up! Berrettini, Ruud raised properly whereas Lopez really showed his maturity by being exclusive and as a a mature player in the group by leading by example to include everyone.
journalists broadcasters must lie & throw their integrity out the door. Watching Top Ten players thrash lower ranked players . The division of the world map who does this serve. It is no competition just very uncomfortable to watch unless you are a sadist. Somebody please have the guts to look at this honestly.
I also felt really really bad watching this! Instead of having it done by map maybe they should be placed in teams by drawn from a hat and he known as Team Borg and Team McEnroe or whoever the coaches for Laver Cup will be in future. Also I don’t think it is a healthy situation to have a silo in the team. As lovely as Rublev is he is very much part of Zverev and Medvedev who actually seem pretty immature by being so clicky and it was quite obvious that Berrettini, Ruud and Lopez were different towards Tsitsipas whilst the others were just extremely rude, Rublev atleast tried to be inclusive.
@@lalitharavindran 250k is actually pennies for them. Federer has won about 130M$ in tennis winnings, yet his fortune is estimated to surpass 1B$ anytime now. What they get in tennis match winnings they get atleast 5x the amount in endorsements and investments.
I think because of the MIC! If you seen the match of STEF! RUUD, MATTEO and FELICIANO were the one focusing while MEDDY and ZVEREV were in their phones .
@An HiSo just continue as if there is nothing going on? When you ignore the problem, it tends to go away in these kinds of situations. Applaud courrier and martina for making it central to their coverage of zverev. Those who still like him will certainly say "he denied it, so lets move on and let them deal with it privately". Idk - I get your point, but doesn't sit well with me to see him continue with business as usual, when clearly he is hiding behind technicalities and his team actively blocking it from reaching trial or courts...
@@poisenopinionator if i were you, id wsit to hear court decision on the matter. Im not his fan or supporter btw. Just saying, innocent, till proven guilty.
