Saxton hales office door has a punching machine as its key, only those Who can punch it Hard enough can make it in, oh and he prefers To have zebra steaks and vulture eggs for breakfast. He is The manliest man out there.
The basis behind Mann vs machine update is the the two Mann brothers are fighting over the company, and turns out there is a 3rd brother who went into robotics and is taking control from both. He has a robot army that will replace our loveable mercs. In the game mode the robots spawn in waves with a boss every few waves. All three of the Mann brothers are SUPER old btw.
I recommend "End of the Line" by McVee, it was a full SFM for a community update for TF2 back in the day. Also literally anything by the Winglet, he's most famous for the "Fedora Chronicles" series and "TF2 vs Overwatch", my personal favorite is "An Australian Christmas Bloody Miracle" though.
The thing is, _End of the Line_ is an official TF2 short movie, made by McVee and his team of animators and music composers in commission for Valve, for the End of the Line Update released in 2014. There was also a map that was developed to go along with it, featuring a train, that Valve commissioned the TF2 community map makers over at TF2MapsNet to create to match the movie; the map is called cp_snowplow. But for reasons too long & stupid to go into here, Valve pulled the map from the update just before the EotL update was released, claiming Snowplow was "too confusing for new players" as it is a 2-stage Attack/Defense style map that features capture points _and_ a self-moving train which doubles as an in-map timer for how long BLU team (Attackers) have to capture each checkpoint before the train that gets stopped at each checkpoint has left before it is destroyed. Train health in percent is the timer, and when capturing a checkpoint its barricade is removed, additional time/train health is added (as in, the train gets repaired by a certain percentage) and the train carrying the bomb to RED base can proceed. I helped playtest the map through its various iterations from the Open Alpha stage to release candidate stage back in 2013-14, and trust me, it's quite cool and fun (and the train can run you over). But Valve claimed their test players (who came in late, incognito) found it "too confusing". (sigh) _This_ from the company that created the Territorial Control mode map tc_Hydro! The same company that added the community-created map cp_Steel with its dynamic routes to the official map pool way back in 2008, "as honorary official map due to its outstanding quality!" and in 2016 added the Payload map pl_Swiftwater into the official map pool as well (Swiftwater had been a community competitive TF2 tournament map in 9v9 Highlander tournaments for _years_ before Valve added it officially, and it also features dynamic flank routes). Valve dropping cp_Snowplow from the End of the Line Update it had specifically been created for (and was full of references to the EotL short movie!) created a huge outcry in the TF2 player and map makers community. Valve finally added cp_Snowplow as part of the Gun Mettle Update in July 2015, a year later... but stuck the map into "Alternative Game Modes > Miscellaneous Maps" category in the map browser, basically making sure few if any newbie players would ever play it. "Alternative Game Modes" should only contain things like the official Mann vs Machine PvE Co-Op mode, PASStime mode (a high mobility TF2 version of basketball), Mannpower mode with its superpower upgrades, modes that radically alter the gameplay!! Stuff like Halloween maps (playable only during Halloween event each year, with their Halloween Bosses and spells, should apply as well, but they get their own tab.) Instead, Valve shoved "Misc Maps" and "Payload Race" into "Alternative Game Modes", when Payload Race is a normal symmetrical variation of Payload, and Misc maps including standard gameplay maps with a single map gimmick or special objective, like koth_Probed or sd_Doomsday (the Special Delivery map with the rocket, a variation of Capture the Flag mode with a single intel suitcase), tc_Hydro, and pd_Watergame which includes a special objective that multiple Halloween maps (and other inofficial community maps) now use as well! Sadly, because cp_Snowplow is thus a map with a low player count, the cheatbots overrun the map on the few Valve pub servers Valve has allocated to it, and if team arent full the cheatbots will flocks to it.... driving the few human players who want to play it away.
Has Chill Zone already reacted to the TF2 short film "Agent Gunn: Vulkanite [Saxxy Awards 2017 :: Best Overall]" by NoNamesLeft, which was an official Saxxy Awards winner in Valve's Saxxy Awards Source Filmmaker contest? There is also the trailer to the official TF2 Invasion Update, with its SFM trailer and maps commissioned by Valve from the TF2 creative and mapmaker community. There is also the "[SFM] Frontline! - A Call to Arms" trailer, community-made, which was supposed to accompany TF2MapsNet's _Frontline Update_ (a WW2 themed update with WW2 themed maps with planes that dropped bombs, minefields and stuff), but sadly Valve never picked that up.
@@TF2CrunchyFrog the story I had always heard was that McVee and co started working on the film, and after some initial info about the film dropped, got contacted by valve about turning it into an update.
Why yes, Heavy do have a giant pair of metal gloves. As for weapon shape like a person, there is the Saxxy Award (given to winners of SFM contests) that is a trophy shape like Saxton that you can beat people to death with. And their corpse turn into a golden statue.
Mann vs Machine is basically the Horde mode for TF2. It's a team of six 99 Mercs vs several waves of robots. Each class behaves mostly like normal at base save for a few additions (Medics can revive players to spare them the respawn cooldown and Spies can use their Sappers to stun a group of enemies, etc.) But as you collect the money the robots drop, you can upgrade your weapons with perks (faster reload speed, increased clip, etc.) or other benefits (a canteen that gives you an Ubercharge among others).
Okay a little late, but the blue and red are not fighting because the original idea for the mode was to be blue and red against the grayman`s robot army, but lots of playeer keept attacking each other. Also it has to do with the lore of the game.
by the way mercs dont have there main wepons bc saxton hale is dethroned from the company. bc of this mercs dont have any wepons or ammo (explained in comics)
0:44 No, it was created by Zephaniah Mann, father of Redmond and Blutarch, the guys, who hired all the Mercenaries. And also father of Grey, who sends those robots.

At least TF2MapNet's work on their _Jungle Update_ maps which they had hoped Valve would pick up (as in, buy) interested Valve enough that Valve requested it be reworked into what became the official _Jungle Inferno Update_ in 2017 as a vehicle for the Pyro class upgrade.
Find fact: two cities update trailer (second 1) s the first mvm tour that give killstreak kit and australium weapon before that it is only drop botkiller(key chain) and normal weapons
0:05 i don't call that an Australian Patriot, that guy is from Skull Island (which there is no Difference between one and other) i mean, there's giant bugs, plants and lizards in both.
@@Dimitri-tq8ti Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Originally hte Mann vs Machine mode _was_ meant to have RED and BLU team skins in the same team (human players), while the robots of Gray Mann were obviously meant to be "Team GRAY", as shown in both the MvM trailers and the MvM comic! Just as various A.I. controlled Halloween Bosses and the swarms of skeletons they can summon are "Team Green", and both RED and BLU players can and must battle the Boss. There are even grey robot models still in the game files, along with red-painted(!) and blue-painted robot models! (Btw, Community modders used those robot models to program the cool community-made _Stop That Tank!_ alterative game mode, based on a mix of classic Payload mode and Mann vs Machine, played on modified Payload A/D maps, with both the robot team and the human team being played by real players, but on the robot team everyone gets a robot skin overlay (but your robot skin can still wear any equipped hat cosmetic! LOL) and there are A.I. controlled tanks and Giant robots (a player gets temporarily turned into a Giant with special weaponry and stats and HP). THere's even a _Stop That Tank!_ Payload Race version, with both RED and BLU team using robots skins and Giants.) But then once again, according to Valve, Valve's in-company test players found that "too confusing" (see the whole End of the Line/cp_Snowplow map debacle) and Valve switched back to the familiar "RED defends, BLU attacks" modus, meaning all human players are RED mercs, Gray Mann's robots are BLU team to the game engine, and that's it. The player community has long asked Valve to at least add Mann Vs Machine maps where the human mercs are BLU team and must carry a bomb into the robot's base, with robots defending. (A similar "carry a bomb or EMP device on your back, carrier must invade the enemy base" Attack/Defense mode already exists as a community-made variant of Capture the Flag with several custom maps, btw.) But Valve claimed it they had tried it and programming the bot A.I. to defend turned out to be "too complicated". Funny that Overwatch and other games managed it...
@@TF2CrunchyFrog well its a shame, the team colors that is..... though I dont understand whats "confusing" like you dont know the game mode and how it literally says that youll be fighting robots and not other humans? Oh well i suppose mods and playing on community mvm servers with sv_pure on will do it for now🥲
There's Saxon Hale Statuate as melee weapon for all classes given as prize to winners of SFM contest. And you can technically craft it if I remember correctly.
well, "Craftable" just means you can use it as a crafting ingredient, for instance the Frying Pan is Craftable but you can't actually craft one from other materials
No you can't craft a Saxxy. You could only win a Saxxy from Valve's annual Saxxy Awards community SFM contest, which Valve discontinued several years ago without warning or explanation.
