Coaches who trained these guys over the past years for them to qualify for the Olympics were not even part of the coaches that were sent to the Olympics 🤦🏾♂️…a usa coach who trained the female high jumper offered to coach her at his own expenses but just needed accreditation from Ghana Olympic committee…they turned him down because he didn’t send an email to the federation when he finally did they said he sent it late….are we serious as a country 🤦🏾♂️ she had the potential to win a medal
2015 Prempeh college there was a runner named ‘Efie wura’ aka gudah. He was as good as Joseph Paul who represented Ghana. But where is Efie wura today? I have no idea. Talent wasted.

@@appiahisaac3106 Olympics was a Greek event and everyone decided to join. Just like World Cup we can have our own athletics (African version) as the AFCON and then still join the Olympics. The world is not black and white the world is GREEN. You’ve got to do what will get you the money and as at now it’s the Olympic that brings the recognition and if any athletes wanna be great that’s where they have to go

@@appiahisaac3106 It's about competition and dominance, forget about the "games" tag. That's why industrialized countries are at the top of the medals table. Most of the athletes also participate in other athletic events for nice paychecks and endorsements.

I know a lady in the USA who contacted the leadership that she has been training and would love to represent Ghana in the Olympics. Guess what they turned her down. This is someone who has utilized the resources in the US to prepare for the Olympics
